You can tell us more about Tunbridge Wells.

Cinemas
  • Odeon, knights park. Too expensive, go to blockbuster and rent 4 for a tenner.
  • Odeon! fucking rip off!!!!!!!! me an friends were going to start petition we were so angry
  • odeon, its on the industrial estate so kinda crap that you got 2 drive or get a bus as to far from station and town.
  • I used to work at the Odeon in T Wells - don't go!! It's run by a bunch of cunts who don't give a shit about films or audiences. Anyone rich who fancies starting an indie cinema, I'm entirely behind you! Or go to the Electric Palace in Hastings or the new Kino in Hawkhurst.
  • the odeon on longfield road out of the way and when you get there the films are sold out
  • we used to have the ABC in the centre of town, but it got closed down because they built "the Odeon" in knights park. Yeah its a couple of miles out but its a nice place; big, well kept, modern but quite expensive (i recommend bringing your own popcorn!!) me and my mates walk there quite regulaly because most of us have Orange phones which means, if we go to the cinema on a wednesday, by sending a text to orange we can get "by one get one free" tickets. theres bowling, restaurants and a leisure centre right next door too.
  • The Cinema is too damn expensive. £7.50 a ticket. how the hell do kids these days afford that!?
  • Odeon, past the industrial estate.
  • Go to Bluewater
  • Come to the sevenoaks playhouse, if you dont it will shut down!!its got really cool seats and doesnt cost much!its not in tunbridge wells but its much cheaper than the odeon!!!and if you dont youre all silly billys!
  • A trip to The Odeon is so expensive, but it's the nearest place you'll find.
  • u got the odeon! thats the only decent one around...
  • the ABC closed! that was the only place that let my sorry ass in to see 15 films.now I have to pay the huge bus fair which uses all my pocket money to see films at the odeon.
  • Trinity Theatre - have great world cinema, check out their website www.trinitytheatre.net
  • It is a bit of a trek out to the Odeon which I do occasionally but I usually wait the couple of months until it is released on dvd from Blockbuster.
  • The Odeon in Knightspark the ABC is good for a spliff lol!
  • the poor abc....
  • they should neva have shut the ABC down (tho is was a pile really)
  • Knight's Park
  • Big and on the Industrial Estate - Fine if you have transport (There is a Bus service directly to it.)
  • Go to Brighton......more indie flicks
  • The forum are now starting up an indie film night -having seen the very first one i am confident to say that it is excellent
  • odeon, get the bus by the road next to spoons, to Park and Ride
  • Knights Park provides young people with at least something to do. Worst thing about is that it should be bigger.
  • Like many, I was sad when the town centre ABC was closed. Unlike some - particularly the young and the elderly - I have a car, so I am able to visit the out of town Odeon, where the multi-screen means there is usually something I want to see. Tip, if it's something hot coming out, book! The amount of times I have eaten at at Franky and Benny's next door and gone next door to see the film and it's full up. More world cinema please though, partiucarly France, Spain and Japan on a midweek evening would be great.
  • well, the odeon, it's on the industrial estate since they kicked the old one down but the mayor has plans for a new one in town, whenever that will be. the oeon has about 9 screens and a cafe, and it's near the bowling alley. They've recently improved the bus service to and from town so it's not that bad to get to, the bus leaves from monson road.
  • The new Cinema is OK, bit of a trek. THe old cinema, however, was a tiny little place with only three screens. May sound bad, and is probably the reason it closed, but I grew up watching movies there and have some fond memories, and every time I walk past there I have ideas on how it could be re-born as a venue. I have some cool ideas, but GLN the company that now own the property have not got a clue. And further more, when Odeon opened their multiplex, a covenant was placed on the old picture house so it could never be used as a cinema again. Down right criminal if you ask me. Again, people thinking of making money rather than what the town wants !!!!
  • There was a cinema in town but anything interesting or different usually falls prey in the end.
  • Odeon way 2 expensive!! burn it again PLEAAAAAAAAAAASE
  • The one in town closed and now there's just the Odeon in Knights park. As an ex employee i will say the cinema is wicked and the sound effects etc are the best in the area but it's way too expensive now and will be even more so soon
  • Ref city centre cinemas - the ABC has long gone but the Trinity Arts Centre shows pictures on Wednesdays and Saturdays - not the recent blockbusters, but a nice selection if you're not a trendy type.
  • odean cimema big and good. thats it really but its good and has resturants outside and the bowl-plex
  • odean cimema on the north farm estate in high brooms. its big, bowlpex next to it and resturants.
  • Well since the old cinema closed down you have to go all the way out through an industrial estate. nice! not! I guess it is ok if you plan to spend a bit of time there. Have a couple of cocktails in the italian restaurant or bowling alley. Otherwise don't bother going. Rent a film instead!!
  • Odeon, bowlplex boring boring
  • The old town cinema was the best , till they closed it now i have to cry outside it for hours on a monday night in my own stand against the flash new one bluit miles away from anywhere. well u can hardly call Highbrooms a place can you .. more like a bumping ground for people pf a 'trendy" nature ! hahahaha
  • Odeon at the Knights Park Lesiure Complex. Too far out of town make sure you bring your passport. You can also go bowling, keep fit, eat american or italian, and get pissed up here but there's no hotel and poor public transport back into town so most people don't bother or have a 'safe' driver the only ones that do get wasted are the Sherwood and High Brooms pikeys, they are dangerous, you'll recognize them with a piercing thorugh the nose and a genral lack of co-ordination.
  • The odeon in Knights park is the only cinema and its showing range is good, but getting there aint unless you have a car. Buses are infrequent (come every hour at quarter to from monson road), but you can get a train to high brooms and walk from there. (if ya lucky you wont have to pay) Alternatively you can walk the whole way. This takes about an hour but its an easy walk. If you do this dont go on your own because it can be dangerous.
  • odeon although its too far out
  • ODeon or Atrium in East Grinstead
  • old cinema in the centre's shut down and'll probably be turned into more crap shops (like Tunbridge Wells needs any more). Odeon's ok but is very expensive (almost six quid now) and a pain in the arse to get to if you don't drive.
  • odean! the only one in t.wells
  • The Odeon. So far out of town you need a visa and passport. Expensive, but nice when you get there! Bowplex as well on same park.
  • The Odeon. Can never be bothered to drag myself out there. Probably why there is an increase in under age drinkers in town.
  • Odean in Knights Park. It's slightly out of town but there's parking, pub next door, retaurant, bowling alley.....It's actually very good.
  • none - used to be but now its a co op
  • Central accessible Cannon cinema slap bang in the center of town. Lovely old time venue..queing in the rain for 40mins to be told they had sold out, red velvet chairs, no-smoking to the left chain smokers to the right and sex at the back. Sounds awful but at least it had atmosphere. Now we have an Odeon multiplex 4miles from town that charges £2.50 for a Coke and £6 for a ticket - bunch of 4rse mate!
  • Shit is all i have to say - the bus routes blow (there is none) and the taxi drivers take you the long way and rip you off! i mean, £12 from the town centre on top of a night out makes you actually WANT to learn to drive in Gridlocked Tunny WElls!!!!!
  • Crappy knights park odeon - great cinema with no route to it!!!!!Town planners want locking up
  • Odeon... expensive and out the way. Bring back da ABC
  • Odeon - only one remotely near me
  • One main Odeon at Knights Park which has 8 screens, this causes the same problem as the Bowlplex, travelling to and from is a hassel if your drinking. If you driving there is plenty of car parking spaces though.
  • There is no cinema in the centre of Tunbridge wells nemore there used to be but nowit is one of those huge mulitplex on the outskirts :(
  • ok, theres the new retail park and its quite cool. they've got a 9 screen cinema a bowling alley, a pub, a resturant and a gym. THe cinema is wiked and shows all the new films and re-runs of the old ones.
  • there's the new multiplex on the knights park estate. You'll need to drive there or get a taxi unless you live in High Brooms or Sherwood. But it has a huge Odeon, with bowling and a pub next door.
  • Excellent odeon multiplex is now in the North Farm industrial estate a couple of miles from the town - at last a cinema with decent sound! I used to boycott the one in town because the sound system was crap! only one problem - if you aint got a car - its a long walk (odeon take note - tesco in hastings provides a bus service!)
  • The 9 screen Odeon multiplex is now open, and has been for a while, its prices are similar to that of the ABC in the centre of town, except of course you have to go out of town to get there, but the cinema is much much better, with decent sound as well. I believe that there is bus service that now goes out to the new industrial estate area. There is also a new Gym, Ten Pin bowling and resturant on the same site.
  • TW has upgraded its old 'shoebox' cinima and has a 8 screen jobbie being bulilt on the Industrial estate - also ten pin too.
  • Standard Blockbusters at the ABC Cinema (formerly MGM), but fairly cheap, and good screens.
  • Don`t even bother in T Wells! the cinema is hot, uncomfortable and generally run down. It`s worth driving out of town.
  • ABC in town, one Dolby Digital cinema, the other 2 screens are a bit crap really. Big multiplex coming in Feb/March time - same place as the Bowling, on the North Farm industrial estate.
