Places that need to be levelled
You can tell us more about Tunbridge Wells.
Demolish It Now Building
- ABC site, though thats happening :D
- iceland
- the dairy building on the st johns road, yuk.. the whole of southborough as well(except the hand and sceptre.. great place)
- where to start... Do entire areas count? I suppose the council could just go round with dynamite or something...well, showfields, sherwood, most of high brooms, morrissons/carpark, old abc cinema, the litten tree, hospital (pembury and kent a nd sussex) (obvi
- The Odeon! The epitome of careless capitalism and shiny shit.
- royal victoria place, cos u get chucked out if ur no shopping cos all the security guards are gay!
- Duke Of York
- my school...aha no not really.
the old grayhound pub. it was burnt down about two years ago! bloody well finish it off already!
- argos
- The old ABC cinema, no doubt
- Old Cinema Building
- Coco Lounge!!!!!! Dirty Filth.....
- The ugly civic centre complex- uninteresting and impractical, no parking nearby unless you pay a fortune to use the multistorey (no good if you just want to drop off a book).
- The Town Hall on Architectural gounds
- The matching-set Library and Town Hall. So depressing.
- Yo face.
- Mizi, the local Pike shop.
- take the bulldozer and start with Tesco, clear the rubble, then drive to the Town Hall, off it goes, run quick over to the cinema site, then all the way down to the "Barn", pull Safeway down too. Well, and in a few months when CALA Homes has finished its new montrosity on Church Road, restart with the whole exercise to get Trinity Church back as the Landmark.
- Duke of York. Its decrepid, the landlord is too stingy to spend anything on it.
- Ugh! That bloody Fast Micros or whatever it is on my side of camden road! Makes the place look like a **** hole! Might go board it up myself!
James Baxter - REDSHARK
- it would have to be halfords and tesco bulidings and noaks oppsite. talk about degrading
- police station - stuck up their own arses piggies.
- the clock!!! whos idea was it to put it there?!?!?!?!?!?!
- The Robin Hood
- Kent and Sussex Hospital - Burning is the only way to get rid of the MRSA bugs ! following years of mis-management of cleaning services.
- Hoopers and the whole of Union Square
- The new flats where Sandell Perkins used to be in Goods Station Road, though they probably call it Victoria road to be more posh.
- The Minellium Clock
- Conservative Association HQ.
- Union House on the Pantiles.
- the old ABC cinema which is now a festering wreck for druggies.
- Where the Jippo's live !
- ALL OF T.WELLs! BURN IT oh yeah did u hear about hugh christie in tonbridge??!?! im goin 2 investigate it friday ANY1 WANNA JOIN ME?
- There's a house in Albert street directly opposite the Victoris place Market square which has had scaffolding on it for about 18 years, it has to go the only reason it stands is because the scaffolding is holding it up
- the assembly halls!! Listed building my arse!! It's just a big BLOCK! 1960s architecture at its worst.
- high rocks "club" does my head in
- its not a building but a memorial clock right in the centre of town. its tall, black, wavy and ugly as anything looks like somthing out of beetlejuice
- Old Cinema
- RVP
- D building where red coats live!
- The one Criminal Records is in ..................... with all its staff. wahhhh haaa haaaaaa evil evil evil
- The old ABC Cinema, an ugly deserted building right in the town centre. Flatten it and build a massive skyscraper with a tv and radio mast in this very high priced plot of land.
- The town hall. Its manky and it looks like a remnant of communism. oh and all the papers in it will make it burn easily
- tech
- Millenium Clock is awful and should never have been built. Stupid artistic type designed it. Fool
- Town hall should go and build a great nite club for under 18s!!!
- The Old West Station. No offense but I've tasted their food and it seems they just buy it from sainsburys next door, defrost, and serve it. It's rough. DO NOT GO THERE. DEMOLISH IT NOW.
- TN4...or whatever it is called now. BRING BACK THE GEORGE!!!!!
- The home at whoever it is that doesn't like Showfields lives!
- Old abc cinema
- The Littern Tree + Bar Zia
- Skinners.......its a skool. well i dont hav a better reason.its a rele s**ty skool.trust me i go there!!!!!i meen they hav no money.wen they get it all they do is spend it on coffee machines and dart boards 4 the staff room!!!!!!u could sell the land 2 a farmer or sumin u would get more money that way
- The millenium clock (does that count?)
- That concrete office block at the end of the pantiles, also houses Somerfield:O(
- Waitrose - ugly expensive supermarket
- ALL OF SHOWFIELDS AND SHERWOOD, WITH RESIDENTS AN' ALL
- Disgusting church down the High Street. Knocked down a beautiful old church and built one of those modern, cheap, shop fronted (for gods sake!) monstrosities. More fire and brimstone and less bloody poncey guitar playing. The only way to save religion! Just goes to show that local and national (see Private Eye - knooks and cranies) outcry mean sod all to the local planners.
- Lloyds TSB from a personal Perspective, but also High Weald Building in Camden Road - it just DOESN'T fit in, all that galss and perspex next to Georgian Masonry!!!
- Police Station...
- Not a building, but the hideous eyesore that the council call 'The Millenium Clock' - a demented version of the Eiffel Tower if you ask me - BUT, does attract skaters, which is a good thing :)
- Town Hall, Police Station, Assembley Halls and the Old Cinema to make way for a 3000+ Capacity music venue to attract some of the big bands to town. The forum has played host to up-and-coming-acts like Oasis, Bluetones, Feeder, Menswear but it needs a BIG music venue. Replace the old cinema will a club, it already has 3 rooms and a great enterance with plently of room for a cloakroom, plus it in the centre of town, 2 minutes from the station.
- The ugly 'Millenium' clocktower
- The police station, need I say more, a monstrosity and its full of useless tea drinking pilocks.
- None, its Tunbridge Wells not too much modern archetecture.
- Kent+Sussex hospital(I work there!)
- so many, what were they on in the 50`,60`and 70`? every Wimpey house on the High Brooms Estate.
