Skateboarding Spots
  • Go too Tunbridge near B&G there is an old peoples home with 2 4 steps and a Jump its quite high but the landing is neat! Also try Paddock Wood St M. Reck. Small park but quite good ;)
  • I der was plans of a new half pipe up at calverly in the basket ball courts in the space no1 uses!!! cant wait
  • council flats above post office near fenwicks
  • the new park, the clock, pantiles, two set and drop down the road from camden
  • Oh yes that blessed millenium clock which all those skaters love. some of them skilled.. some of them really not. sit in costa or nero and watch them but your view will probably be obstructed by the hordes of subspecies which are the 12 yr old goths and teeny boppers.. the kind who wear massive cat ears, fairy wings, scary make up and other such items. You are best watching the skaters once it gets a little late and the hordes have gone home to bed.
  • the new park at st johns is finished!!, it has got a really small steep bank, a wedge like the southbank one, curbs, manual pad, a BIG four set, with a ledge that ends with a 5 foot drop and on the other side a sloping ledge like a very small rail, it also has a box about a foot high, if you go down there get some grip gum from south first as it is still a bit dusty, but very smooth. All the blood stains there are from ben, he had a nosebleed lol.
  • Finally the new tunny wells park has opened! great setup gd ledges only setback is the run up 2 the five set is really bumpy should be smoothed out soon though!
  • are there any ramp plans for the new park at st.johns, if so could sum1 post a link 2 it?
  • in reply to the guy talking about a kid with a half pipe, i think i know who you are talkin about, he live on court road, the road next to byng road and he lets me skate it so hed be cool to let others skate it.
  • hey, thats probably my miniramp. i live in court road which is right next to byng road. who posted that and how do they know about my parents. plz could they reply to me at circusskateco@hotmail.co.uk http://i104.photobucket.com/albums/m198/circusskateco/2006_071740thkarens0019.jpg use that for a piccy of me on the ramp
  • The latest word on the street is that a kid in byng road has got a wooden halfpipe and if ur even of distant relation to him his parent are cool 4 u to skate it - just the right height and totally CHAV FREE!!!
  • double 4 set near the pantiles next to the chinese elvis restaurant, 3 set roung the back of mac donalds (with rail if you can ollie high enough), obvious places like the clock tower. there are some good skools such as st james and skinners.
  • THERE IS A FOUR SET JUST BEHING KING CHARLES (A CHURCH NEAR THE PANTILES). THE RUN UP IS A BIT DODGY, BUT THE LANDINGS SMOOTH.
  • St. greggs is gd if u don't get caught by the caretaker!! lol
  • theres a skate park at hilbertwreck and theyre building a new one in st johns wreck! (the park by TWGGS) also after 7 in the town centre is where skaters can ride up and down the street and do tricks on all the benches and without hitting people.
  • safeways car park top floor, t wells skate park, tonbridge skatepark, twiggs, newest place to skate is S tyres.
  • The clock, two set drop near the market square out side the food court, level eight and level one of the royal victoria car park, Flatground down the middle of town, the big brown building opposite the black horse house on st johns road just round the back, Wellington gate building three set, if you go down through the gate by macdonalds you will find a rather nice three set with a handrail (it may be a little mouldy), Skinners school has a three set and some drops, St james' school has a nice four set and a seven set, down near the pantiles there is a double four set, The pantiles but watch out for the grumpy old gits and the wonky tiles, safeways is no longer as it has been graveled over, if you are looking for a nice flatground session head up to grove, they recently re-tarmacced so its very smooth, then theres the skatepark in hilbert recreational ground down camden road, council carpark near the police station is good for the rainy days, drop by seven oaks sound on st johns road, manual pad outside the arriva bus depot also on st johns road (but u have to go on sunday when there will be no cars there), Look out for a new skate plaza up on st johns road, shud be finished by summer 2006. Thats all i can think of, but basically just walk around and keep your eyes open. Big up to all of inertia skate crew. www.freewebs.com/inertiaskaters
  • the clock and the outside shopping bit

  • Safeways......no one could ever park thier cars!
  • hahaha ahh theyre bangin.watch out for the new delf vid with many spots YOU didnt even know tw hAD.also get up off your arses and actually start going skating.
  • If your stuck for places to skate in tunbridge wells coz the council r biatches, then jump on a bus and go to the tonbridge/longmead skate park, thers guaranteed to b ppl there and its actually a proper park lol, its better than the tunbridge wells one neways
  • tunbridge wells has got some gd spots. for example, the serect flatbank up by the rocks(not high rocks). the ledge out side sevenokes and sound. the manuel pad outside arriva.(only skatable on a sunday). jadels, r.i.p has know come to the ground. memories of skating were great. skinners school as just got a new skate spot. the flat bank with coping, ie curb. i think george has laid some hammers down on that one already. better get in there quick to get some claims. the tun.wells high street benches r.i.p are now a bust but can still be skated, if u use ur imagination. the flat gorund there is good also. finally safeways the home of tunbridge wells skating. alwas a gd session no dout. we have to try and keep the scene of skateboarding ni tunbridge wells alive. keep skating and having fun, and if your new to skateboarding and you see us skating to be afiard to come and say hello as any skateboard with the right atitude is welcome anywhere at any time. thanks Puzzle U.K
  • Hi brooms park. Steep pyramid, steep driveway with manual box on top (sided with coping) to flatbank adn hipped (sort of) quarters. Rail. big qaurter. Not a bad lay out or place to skate to be honest. The driveway is hard to skate but possible........
  • not really that many skate spots left here, as they have all been rinsed and demolished if you really need a skate, your going to have to force yourself to go to the skate park at grovenor, ive heard there building a skate park at the tennis courts by twigs and as well in calverly but as if the council whores are going to do this and if they do probs just be as bad as the metal bollox
  • a new 4 -stair at "adult education" centre, opposite Habitat. Pretty good xcept for the drains - can be avoided
  • try sains, its got a 7set, curbs, benchs and flat ground there r some well sweet skaters up there worth a look.watch out for the under cover guys in beals there gay!! so dont make a mess up there coz u mess it up for all of us.
  • st. james' area park
  • have you tried the platform at the OLD WEST STATION? I spent most of my time there as manager chasing people off the platform but can now let someone else have the pleasure!!! try it its great!!!!!!!!! love to tunbridge wells now I live somewhere else!!!!!!!!!
  • THE CLOCK! damn da wanks they live ther!
  • clok, camdem market place but u always get kiked out hello wot happened 2 freedom of speech?
  • The Pantiles ... dunno if thats allowed but having the wells there is great , water to drink when you get all hot and icky.
  • Try the Pantiles... but watch out for the wonkey tiles!
  • top of safeways, and the clocktower
  • Under the clock is about the only place i know (not that i do it). Everywhere else has signs up saying that it's prohibited"
  • clock, sainsburys
  • safeways. top floor open air and loads of fit peeps.
  • There is a lil' shi*ty sk8park in High Brooms which is about a 10 or 15 miute walk from the town centre. Safeways WAS good until it got infested with cockheads(slipknot hoodie, bernies). Im not sure, but i think there is still a ramp behind the old bt building (run down, smashed windows) which is opposite the old A.B.C cinema. Urrrr, the carpark behind the police station is good,p.s dont bother going to any of these places if you cant sk8, 1: u will look an idiot and 2: u will get beats
  • one - boardroom
  • the millenium clock!!!
  • TW now has its v. own metal skatepark and it is sick-sick-sicko! It's located not far from Route 1 and Camden Road. Opinion is divided about the park but it is by far the best thing there is to skate in Tunbridge Wells and is basically awesome- somewhere to bust out those moves that isn't off the island at Safeway's. Stop being so moody and come skate the park!
  • Safe Ways
  • A new skate park has opened in Hilbert Recreation Ground. Cool!!!!
  • errrrr na a a the new "south bank style" skate park is rather lame to say the least! they r many chavs and little kids on scooters!!! all made of mettal, but a good place to chill if u can be arsed to walk there!
  • The bit by the camden centre, (while we're on the subject, please name more so me and my mates can add them to our list of places to visit)
  • YES... we have a skatepark, a medium sized metal beauty situated in Hilbert Rec Be warned chavs run riot in the evnings and bring drink and food as it is miles to the nearest shop
  • The Milennium dome, well it was b4 they put those stupid steps in, top of safeways carpark...
  • Route one has moved to Camden Road
  • level 8 at the rvp carpark - is the an ok joint to skate in times of rain, however if youre willing to risk life and limb for a sick session, you can mission it througth the underbelly of the mall ant to the loading bays.
  • Skate the top of safeways near the train station! lots of good skaters shame about the spot! Also undergroung car park near nevada bobs golf store by the pantiles. welll waxed ledges, and 3ft ish drops.
  • New park in southboro for summer. With indestructible benches, quaters, funboxes and possibly a miniramp.
  • The car park at the back of the pantiles, The TW boys grammer car parks and playgrounds. Skinners School, any new carpark at night, The Spa hotel (be carefull for police though), Anywhere that there is cobles (and there are a lot in Tunbridge Wells) Please Kent county council sort out the roads in tunbridge Wells. Ahh I almost forgot soon there will be a full Southwark/Southbank style skatepark in Tunbridge Wells - great or what?
  • Well good spots, but only a few good skaters. A good variety of skate spots, stairs, handrails, curbs, flatland, platforms and gaps. (?? from old list: YMCA Small spine/ elbow. Strong suspicions that it's no longer there. Better call the YMCA to check: 01892 548823.) A lot of clattering comes from the Royal Victoria Place car park in the evenings and on Sundays.
  • There's a halfpipe been built in Pembury (where i live) - about 4 miles from TW town centre.
