- Laurie Chilton's fine restaurant at Ladysmith House closed more than 1 year ago.
Eilean Donan House is now a fine Restaurant as well as a guest house.
John Macleans is now in West Argyll Street - beside the Post Office.

- checkout new indian on the campsite in june.
- John Macleans General store
- Scottish Larder. Lauri Chilton has her restaurant on the corners of Pulteney Street and Ladysmith Street (go up Ladysmith Street from the Bank) Good food evenings usually until 9.00pm
- The Ceilidh Place is good for light up-market snacks (humous platter with salad was good) and meals. Also kind enough to suggest an alternative place to try after their kitchen had closed. So they get a vote of appreciation for that as well as their food on the return visit.
- Chip Shop - brilliant fish. This looks like any other chippie, but the fish is way way better than most.
- Morefield House motel serves best ever bar and restaurant grub - complete range from roasties to lobster royale. Try the Loch Broom prawns which are the largest I have ever seen or the Chicken Champignon which has an international following. ( A London taxi-driver was in raptures.)
