• The town used to boast a cafe which closed for lunch. Unfortunately it's now gone. I wonder why?
• The Hot Mango next to lakeland continental.

• Thorntons in Barrow, you can get a shot of chocolate!
• this aint Amsterdam but one or two of the little places are quite cool , hicksies on market street provide excellent take away pies and hot sandwiches , while at nighttime try the chippy bank for chips or the continental for perfect fried fish .
• Hot Mango is great. Really good food that's not too expensive.
• deganis' used to do the best iced drinks in town they were cool

• Brilliant new cafe recently opened in Ulverston called "The Hot Mango Cafe", It's on King Street and it really is wonderful. Lots of veggie meals and really good cappucino
