- It has something for everyone near enough! Two shopping centres, several pubs, a club, a main train/bus station, Fasinage park is a nice place if the weathers good, Sainsbury and Tesco... you have everything and not too far to walk to get it! With RAF Uxbridge down the road, what more could a woman want!
- it has some good skate spots it is good to chill out in before goin harrow or london
- Uni life and my friends from uni - I miss you all!
- The tube station. It leads to somewhere else.
- Everything if you live here its normal and within a good distance of london and its home!
- Uxbridge Station, as this is the ESSENTIAL hub for escaping on either a bus or train. GO.
- skating
- The good Yarn, real chaep drinks everyone has to try Blue WKD and Orange reef, looks real nasty but well nice!
Must have to be the q for a cab by the old bill, always meet some random drunks, have a chat and watch ya mates chucking uo the 40 quid they just spent in the pubs, priceless!
Summer evenings spent outside Auberge(spelling) this is a new res/bar and the hogshead.
- Watching the Chiltern View get flatttened
- fountains mill, for all u little grungers and townies who want to beat up grungers. hours of amusement!
- The Chimes, Starbucks, Nandos, the Metropolitan pub and Baroosh. But most of all Woolworths - I love the Uxbridge store, I could get lost in all the goodies.
- it's better than west drayton !
- The Chimes and the High Street renovations - the place now almost looks decent.
- there is no best things this is uxbridge u no
- the little skater dudes that think theyre cool aw so naive
- new look ect
- Cheap Cinema relative to other London multiplexes.
The University.
- people, pubs, service - for some reason peaple give good service??? -
- All the people moaning about how crap it is and leaving as soon as they can so the rest of us can get into one of the 25 pubs, get around one of the two shopping malls, fit into one of the 9 screens at the cinema, get a seat on the regular trains to London or the buses to everywhere within twenty miles, walk easily into the countryside, get anywhere in the country in 4 hours, laugh at the people in the center of town cause they're paying so much in rent and laugh at the people from the country cause they only have their cousins for entertainment.
- It's my home town, and it's brutal
- Pretty soon The Chimes shopping centre will open (April 2001) which will bring a bit more variety into Uxbridge. Because it has a Multi Plex cinema in it, there is a rumour going around that the two screen Odeon cinema will be turned into a club. If the Management of Royalles don't get their hands on it (Which they probably will) it won't be turned into a faceless dive that charges a fortune. Hopefully we might get a decent club, and that Odeon building will make a much better club than it has a cinema.
- In life are free.
- The Metropolitan line heading east!
The Grand Union Canal heading north
- Uxbridge is only a few paces from real rurality
in Bucks.
Its a quiet town right on the fringes and expensive
tubewise and difficult buswise to get to.
It is nearly all "white"people who wook in the town (lower middle class)
The Housing Benefit Office does not really welcome those who are scroungers.
- The RAF camp they all come crawling out to uxbridge during the weekends especially the old ostler and royales, good for the girls if they like men in uniform!!!!!!!!!! guaranteed to have fun with these lads!!!
- It's in the South
- Excellent transport links so it's eay to leave.
- the buses and the trains
- People and Sports
- Uxbridge has superb transport links and is situated prettu much in the centre of England. Tube, bus rail links as well as the M25, M40, A40 and M4. it's just as well really as it makes it so much easier to get out of Uxbridge - offically voted Hell on Earth!
- About 11.30pm, on a Friday, night, everybody is really nice and happy. Or are they just drunk...
- Uxbridge can offer the best of both worlds. Close enough to get into town for museums, theatres, nightlife (unless you're an impoverished student), but also minutes away from countryside. It may have more than it's fair share of offices, but that makes employment easier to find too.
- All roads, trains and buses OUT!!
- It has got to be said Uxbridge is a brilliant place, with excellent Pubs (Three tons, Continentals and the White Horse). Shopping excellent, Restaurants KOH-I-NOR, best Indian I have ever had.
- Travel to anwhere, easily. (well, almost.) Countryside in 3 directions within a few minutes. Lots of wildlife, walking, natural places (if the poor air doesn't kill you)
