- The Oxford road has a load of eateries, as you leave junction 1 of the M40 you`ll come accross :
Indian Summer. A well presented indian restaurant set in a converted pub.
Tiger Cubs indian restaurant. A bit unassuming from the outside (they have planning restrictions on advertising and altering the outside of the building) but nice inside. Food wise they serve a modern and at times unique menu as well as all the old favourites. The king prawn Suka starter is to die for !
Mc Donalds. Originally from the states this popular chain...... like you don`t know who Maccy Dees are !
Beijing Restaurant. Go on have a guess.... yep, a chinese restaurant. A bit of parking round the back if you need it. Friendly service, pretty typical menu.
Galaxy Kebab (and burgers) on the oxford road coming into Uxbridge on the left hand side. The dog`s nads of a lamb or chicken shish kebab cokked while you wait. For the pissed up client donner kebabs with lashings of chilli sauce are available instantly. Good thin crispy fries as well. Eat in or take away.
Shangrila Thai & Nepalese restaurant. Went in there a few years ago fresh from a trip to Thailand and wasn`t overly impressed (prawns the size of baby shrimp!) but a nice sitting area with Axe chairs.
Rucola Italian restaurant. Set as it is on the ground floor of a block of flats you could easily miss the restaurant or pass it by. Great service, always good dependable food and somewhere you can pop into for a casual bite or take the someone for a special occasion.
Thai Pan set in the Manpower office building right at the end of the Oxford road this is a buffet style restaurant where you just keep walking up for more until you burst, (which a good many of the clientelle look as though they are about to!).
Another restaurant worth a mention is Sukanya in Denham. A great little Thai restaurant with friendly service and some authentic dishes on the menu.

- The wonder cafe down the Uxbridge Road at the end of long lane-no where cures a hangover better!
- I work in Stockley Park Near Heathrow airport and for the past 3 years i have put up with the pubs and restaurants within the park. I finally ventured out to Uxbridge were I happened apon the most delightful restaurant. Its called Nona Rosa. I had a great lunch for just £9.95 with no automatic service charge. Adding up the cost of my lunch and extra travel costs to get there i still spent less money and had better food than if I had stayed in Stockley park.
- maccy ds opposite tesco metro
- Nandos is cheap and cheerful, ask & pizza express aren't so bad either! They are boht cheapish but very nice!
If you want to go somwhere more expensive then go to auberge or shangri la. They are both excellent restaurants.
- McDonald's. Pizza Hut. Burger King. Overpriced 'Italian' restaurants in the shopping malls.
- Try ASK, its good value for money and the service has always been pleasent. Baroosh - You'll pay at bit more but very tasty grub! There is a fabulous curry house next to Royals, gorgeous food, can't fault it. Can't spell the name of it either so I won't insult them by trying!!
- mc donalds and hongs inbetween etam.
- 2 KFC's Macdonalds, Burger King
We also have a nonna rosa a nice italian, a pizza express, a pizza hut, many kebab shops, in surrounding areas hillingdon and yeading find pang's chinese very very good (all you can eat buffet) the dragon king on the uxbridge road. If your in the town you will find somewhere i swear!
- Granny Satchwills...
- KFC is good
- nice milkshakes in BBs muffins by by chimes and also buffet in pizza hut if you feel like stufing your face.
- There is only one Resturant in Uxbridge worth visiting and thats Martin`s Place
Excellant food at very great prices . Its only a little resturant but with a huge atmosphere.
- Alot!
- Nandos is the best and they do take-away aswel.Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm. Also Nonna Rosa, Ask and the usual McDs, BK and a brand new KFC where Wendy's use to be.
- there is pizza huts and mcdonald kfc and burger king ect
- Nandos!!
- Ask & Pizza Express - High quality Italian / Pizza joints.
Swan & Bottle does decent pub grub but not cheap.
- pizza hut mc donalds things like that
- loads in the town centre and on the outskirts. masala is good if u like indian food. theres about 3 mcDonalds(yuk). pizza express, ask, nona rosa...
- pizza hut and mc donalds nuthin fancy(there is an ask on the high street)
- Galaxy Kebab and Burger. The best - no question.
For Fish and Chips, forget Jacks and go to Huttons in Hillingdon. It rules.
- The Indian just past Royels is good. Not much else I don't think, apart from the usual fast food: McD, KFC and Wimpy.
- DON'T go to that Indian Resturant, bottom of Hercies Road 'Dream Palace' IT'S CRAP!
- Don't go to Ask unless you are willing to pay for crap service, crap but expensive food. Also some of the waiters only speak a little bit of English which you may have to reapeat three times before they underdtand that you want a plain cheese pizza!
- KO-I-NOOR KO-I-NOOR KO-I-NOOR KO-I-NOOR KO-I-NOOR do it - you will regret it if you don't. The best balti outside of the home of balti - B'ham. Ask for 'Ray' and be greeted by the warmest of welcomes. (You still get charged - but hey - thats life!!!)
- Two fab restaurants in uxbridge. Auberge which is french/belgian style with loadsa wierd beers to try. Just out the back of the new cinema in the chimes centre. The building is a restored house dating back to 1530! pretty cool and unusual decor. The Beijing is great if you love a chinese. On oxford rd towards denham.
- there is the open till late kebab shop which is always nice to go to after a good piss up and the food is good too which is just across from tescos.
- Uxbridge is a crap place to eat and drink, I should know, lived here for 25 years. Why???????
- Lots of Indian restuarants catering to Continental tastebuds. One thing I must say is the food is really oily and nowhere near Indian cuisine.
- Ask Pizza- OK. Otherwise, try the Three Tuns for good value tasty pub food. Opposite tube station. Pizza Express up in ntop of HS opposite Civic Centre- also Auberge- havent got a clue what its like, but its there. For post-pub, go to Uxbridge Kebabs- great food, humorous staff who put up with the dickheads from Royales.
- I don't know how often this thing is updated, or maybe i just didn't read it
properly, but Subway is CLOSED! It has been for quite some time now, much to the
horror and despair of me and my friends
- Uxbridge has an excellent selection of Keebab shops, Curry Houses, Fast Food places, Sandwich shops and restaurants. You can't knock it for that!!
- Subway serves food from the subway.
- The picnic you buy at Marks and Spencer and eat at Black Park
- N.V. Cafe'
- Granny Satchwills..New Arcade. The Bacon Butty Shrine of Uxbridge!
- Subway sandwich bar - don't forget to take out a mortgage before ordering. And you though that a sandwich would be a cheap lunch.
- Nona Rosa italian restaurant, The Nave for the cheapest sandwich in town
- Ah, glorious food. As for us foreigners visiting from abroad and why we'd want to go to Uxbridge....well, I lived there from 1948 to 1962 and me Mum still lives there. But I met a chap fropm Arkansas, USA ( on the Internet) who had visited my hometown in September, 1997, shortly after Princess Diana died. He didn't plan to be there when she died, just a coincidence. But he told me about JACK'S FISH & CHIPS on The Greenway, formerly The Green Man Pub. This past April (98) my hubby & I spent a few days in Uxbridge and had both dinner & breakfast at Jack's Place. Fantastico!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'd fly to England just to go back to Jack's......if I could afford to!!! Love Caroleuk@aol.com
- Superb Italian Restaurant nr McDonalds but it's not cheap. Lots of Harvesters around...(if you must) Plenty of Chinese and Indian. Best Indian is Nr Hayes Station The Hayes Tandoori. A good and inexpensive new one on the Cherry Lane and Harmonsworth Road fork at W.Drayton. Spoiled by grey silk flowers but food and service excellent value for money. Best Fish & Chips is Jacks opposite RAF Uxbridge - sit down or take away. Has car park. About £3.75 for enormous cod & chips to eat in. (Tell them you'll wait while they cook it as in quiet times you may get some that's been cooked a while) The Swan & Bottle on the Canal has just been refurb'd. Excellent food, wines, etc.
- McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's.
- Proper restaurants: Martins (Windsor Street)
