- Nothing 2 say - if you're visitng uxbridge then u're either deluded or have far 2 much spare time on ur hands.

- So what do normal people do in uxbridge then??
S
- i d think uxbridge is crap but whoeva slags off students y dont u get a fuckin life u were students once and not every1 can be as bloody perfect as u were!!
- the chimes is ok i suppose but it aint as good as people made out to be and they need a decent club or something royalles is loosing its touch.
- Uxbridge is a good area to bring up children, but its not much fun for teenagers, who tend to hop on the tube headed for Central London/Harrow.
- The definitive "Uxbridge Bloke" is a generalisation of every bloke who has grown up in and around Uxbridge. Reebok classics, Ralph Lauren shirts, gold earrings and soverign rings...the wonders of this crazy town we call home.
- Uxbridge could be an excellent town. It's only 12 miles from the centre of London, has loads of transport linking you to anywhere you want to go and loads of potential sites to develop for residents. However Hillingdon Borough Council refuse to allow anything to be created in the town that will enhance life in General. They build no clubs for the under thirties, no Bowling Alley's or Ice Rinks for the kids and No Bingo Clubs or Social Clubs for the older residents. Instead they profit by allowing nasty American companies to set up their HQ's in the Town. Insurance companies, Car Rental companies and other similar corps know they can rip residents off by offering them work for a absolutely no money and terrible terms. If Hillingdon Council stopped being so greedy and sorted their act out, we might get a town that is on a par with some of the other London towns. Or Even places like Brighton!!
- The Best social group for the over 35's is Hillingdon Quest , which meets every Tuesday , apart from the 1st Tuesday of the Month at The Load of Hay ,Villier Street , Uxbridge . Details from Clive on 01895 466557
- I think Uxbridge could be a wonderful town if it would let
its self go a bit and become more chic.
MY dentist moved there because he couldnt stand the traffic
pollution in Hounslow,
They ought to emphasize the rural charm bit and create something
unique and unusual in the town centre maybe like an Amsterdam Red
Light area?THAt would pull in the punters!"
- Though the heading of the Uxbridge entry says it is in the County of Greater London, as far as the Post Office is concerned (and many locals) it is in the County of Middlesex.
