- I beleive the captain of the Titanic was from Wallasey and the folk singer Bob Buckle and I know Fred Perry the tennis player and sports brand went to Wallasey School

- Matt Smith, genius programmer from the eighties, programmed such classics as manic mine and jet set willy....went a bit loopy disappeared for a number of years (apparently to a commune in Holland where he became a bicycle repairman) before reappearing then disapperaring again!
