- Don't go to Castle Vale which is just down the road. If you do, you'll leave naked. Although there are some very nice greasy spoons, it is a shit-hole. Interesting fact though: Many places in Castle Vale got there names from the second world war; so there is a Spitfire Avenue etc. But there is also a place called Barder Walk. It is named after the guy who lost his legs during the war, and continued to fly planes into battle.
