• Was in Courthouse once when all hell broke loose and chairs flew everywhere. Bear in mind this was a Saturday afternoon.
• Ah, the glorious pubs of Walsall. Enough to turn the hardest alchy in to a tee totler. Twats. Except the Brown butt, next to the Pink Trout. Try them. Half price "Cock" Tails, if you get my gist. Sorted.
• erm most of the local walsall pubs are pure crap...if you just wana get smashed and be part of the binge drinking culture - then youll love it!.

• If you like your music very loud try visting th Rising Sun on Bridge Street,Walsall for some good beer,company and music. THey have a weekend disco which is a big success. It,s even great for chilling out before the fun starts
• May 2004 - Wheatsheaf (behind Blue Coat School) - Massive Rock disco every Friday night, live rock/indie bands many Saturdays. The landlord is a loud-shirt wearing loony who loves his smoke machines and disco lights, and his staff are fun too. Cheap booze offers on many nights: Mine's a pint of Stella!

• The Red Lion and the wharf on park street are top to go and chill in, Red lion cos it's cheap and the wharf cos it's near water to calm you down. never known any trouble there. Also, The Wheatsheaf is a good indie place and there aren't any bouncers. they make all other pus in walsall suck, cos they're really draconian. It's just a pub, for christ's sake! Also, most pubs are either full of people looking to start on you or fashion victims who look like Atomic kitten
• Does any one remember the punch and judy? or go in there? used to go there was i was 15 (drank coke honest) love it at the time do not know what i was thinking now lol, and good old samaras, got banned from there at 18 had been drinking in there since i was 16 lol better late than never eh?
• The Braddy - best pub in the world! Ravi come back from Scouseland! Royal Oak, Pleck - best indian food ever, check it out!

• Bradford Arms - superb beer, superb food, wikked jukebox, can I say any more! Other than a big Kidda to Bally and Ravi, even though Ravi has turned scouse on us!! Come back Rav, all is forgiven! Royal Oak in Pleck - great beer and the best curry and bbq chicken tikka I've ever tasted! I recomend you get down there pronto! Hatherton Arms - weekend,barmaids need I say anymore??
• Rising Sun in Ablewell street - go there and get short-changed! - can't get served easily unless you stink, have tattoos and a beard, us normal people are looked down on - its a weird backward kind of snobbery!
• The Wharf, Bar 10, is probably the best for a night out...have various nights including live band's, stand up comedy and Mother Nature for classy house music. Have also seen a coupla geezer's on the decks some Friday's who are pretty good, but I ain't got a clue who they are. Top choon's though!

• The Flock & Firkin remains my second home. Well, third I guess, after the flat in London and the house in Walsall. But it is a great, great pub. We love it.

• Flan O'Briens is definitely the place to be if you don't want to go home with blood stained clothes and black eyes. There is always a friendly crowd. There are live bands on every Thursday and Sunday, Karaoke on Friday (checkout the Real "ELVIS" -You will never have laughed so much), Disco on saturday. P.S. The Guinness is the best in the Midlands.

• The Rising Sun now hosts a jam night on Thursday evenings between 8.30 and 11.30. Everyone can either join in or just listen.
• Yates, for those without anysense of direction style or brains. However some are quite attractive.

• Can't believe how many bars and stuff have sprung up in walsall,makes a good night out if u avoid any fight. Do the walsall pub crawl.... Imperial so you can hear yourself think and quickly catch up with your mates with some cheapish drinks and a yummy meal.then take yourself off to the varsity where the pace quickens up a bit then old court house and sofa sofa oh god i forgot bar sport,go there too,specially if there is a game on,cool atmosphere.avoid milligans,and chicagos,too many oldies same with the whaft,too far away. then go to hogshed NOT i repeat NOT yates,unless your still in nappies.then end the night with baileys or for the more discerning walsall goer (LOL) its gotta be HARLEYS

• The Rising Sun is a Very Good Rocker Type Pub.... VERY GOOD! All the others are just trendy wine bars.

• Imperial is good cos the drinks are dirt cheap compared to Yates' (this place sucks!) and Varsity is also good. Personal recommendation would be the Rising Sun which is a guaranteed night out.

THE SPORTS BAR IS A NEW ONE WHICH IS QUITE INTERESTING JUST ALONG FROM BAILEYS AND AROUND THE CORNER FROM THE OLD COURTHOUSE IF YOUR INTO FOOTBALL THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE WITH TV SCREENS AT EVERY TABLE ITS FANTASTIC HOWEVER DONT GET TO ROWDY AS THE DOOR STAFF DONT LIKE NOISEY PEOPLE AND ASK YOU TO LEAVE IN THEIR NICE SCAREY VOICES.
• Black Swan RIP....the only place in town with a Juke box.....I'll go there when it's been done up as a Toby Carvery..as long as the original "Berni Inn" scutters keep away from the food.

• i asked someone coming out of yates's to eat a worm last saturday and they did. if u kno me u'll remember how funny it was - it describes how drunk everyone gets. if you're in walsall, being drunk help a lot.
• The Fullbrook is ok if you like mixing with men who have spent 90% of there working life on the sick. The women tend to all have four kids, unless they are over 21 in which case they have any number, all from various farther, (what else do you do when you are on the sick?). Having said that some of the women do have there tattoos correctly spelt.
• The Bradford Arms, Palfrey. The best pub in the whole of Walsall.Great beer, great people, oh and the landlord Ravi, is the best landlord ever. Only thing is if ya face don't fit, you ain't walking out alive! Best bet is to say Kee Alee, to everyone you meet.You'll be a regular in no time!!!!

• CHICAGO ROCK CAFE STARTED OFF BEING A GOOD FRIDAY NIGHT VENUE, HOWEER I REALISE THAT AFTER A FEW NIGHTS OUT THERE THAT THEY PLAY THE SAME MUSIC IN THE SAME ORDER EVERY NIGHT. THE CROWD HAS BECOME CONSIDERABLY ROUGHER AND A FIGHT OUTSIDE IS THE NORM.
• IMPERIAL!!! But they took away the dinosaur, so that's a bit of a downer!
• Everyone has to visit the Green Rock for a cultural shock!
• There is no pub in Walsall that wouldn't serve my 14 yr old brother. Best to avoid Black Swan and Pen and Wig in the town centre, and any in the Darlalston, Willenhall or Bloxwich disrticts in the town.
• I would like oto point out that the VARSITY is the cheapest on weekends you you have one of those keyringy things, otherwise the Old Court House is ok too
• The Imperial is definitely the best pub in Walsall, purely because I work there!
• The pubs just seem to growing on trees latley. My personel favs at the mo are yates, the varsity, the court house, and flans all the rest seem to atract preety boys and some very young looking girls

• It used to be a case of every thursday down to the firkin, then the black swan, milligans and then scruffy murphys. Then I would be very very drrrrruuunnnnkkk!!!!
• Flock & Firkin - ace night out. Bit studenty (no problem to me - I am a lecturer!) The Wharf Bar, next to the New Art Gallery. Good music Friday & Saturday. Good (Highgate) beer.
• Town Wharf - till all the scrubbers took it over
• Flock and Firkin was always a good place, oh and the King Arthur on Park Hall was good when I was underage!!!
• Black Swan, Pen and Wig if you want a fight. Milligans if your 14, Imperial if you are a Grandad. But the Bollox is Baileys
• Two best pubs in town are the Vaults and the Stein Bar, even if the bouncers at the Stein Bar are complete gits. Also you limit the chance of being bottled, unlike the black swan. And if you are under 16 go to Milligans.
• Wharf bar is the best - sexy house music on weekends, chilled out in the week. Varsity is OK if you like cheesy disco music and waiting half an hour at the bar. Imperial's good in terms of novelty value - apparently when they were resesrching the pub the designers conducted market research throuout Walsall to find out what locals wanted to see most in pubs - the end result was a 50 foot brontosaurus in the middle with several lesser dinasours in the corners (velocoraptors, stegasaurui etc).....strange, but comical (cheap beer aswell) - Bonus!
• The flock and firken. Make it your local, get in with the gaffer Dave, and it doesn't close at 11.30 like the other town pubs. There hasn't been a fight there since new year 1997 and I started that one!
• Avoid the Black Swan at all costs, full of drunken nutters and Im sure i saw it on the cook report once.
• If you cannot get pissed in Walsall then there must be something wrong.
• difficult. to avoid headcases and people in stripy shirts try faln o'brines. but the best place has got to be baloons in ablewell street. cool, frinedly, and very multi-cultutal. flock and firkin up the road is ok.
• varsity, black swan, the imperial with a 60 foot dinosaur in the middle of the room, flock and firkin, traditional pubs and now ultra modern pubs appearing every month
• The Court House and the Varsity are the only decent pubs in Walsall. There's a Yates' pub being built, that'll mean one more decent pub to go in!
• pub in every street practically the vine in walsall is a non alcohol pub, freaky for the kids, they have music for them.
