the guitat shop in forest road is long gone, but there are afew cash converters around st james st always a good selection and i prefer good s/h gear to new stuff,
also loads of open mic nights popping up in and around walthamstow and live music is definately on the up in the up and coming Wood st with the Plough and THE FLOWER POT OFFERING a wide range of entetainment.
- Avoid Walthamstow Central station to meet up you'll only get mugged or stabbed or both.

- Walthamstow Market on a Saturday afternoon...packed full of singles...have fun.
- whipps cross car park is a good hang out after dark. you can get your ding dong sucked. which is nice.
- Walthamstow Central (so called for its 'central' location) is an ideal place to meet up with mates and stuff!
There are a few places that people hook up .... I saw a group of kids on the corner of a street at 2.30 in the morning - my mum would have skinned me!!!
- Walthamstow dog track is very good. Offers a restaurant overlooking the track, and where you can place your bet without getting out of your seat!
