- A few, but again, this is a seaside town where people come to laze on the beach, swim, enjoy icecream on the beach (unlike its neighbour Frinton) and have fun.
- There's a nice Indian one up the end of the high street towards the beach. Woollies is good for the kids. The three charity shops are definitely worth a look - all by the pedestrian lights on the High Street.

- Now that the year 1998 has (saddly) left us, there will be a major retro clothes come back when we all look back into the distant past and begin wearing what was popular in 1995. Baggy yellow T Shirts, green cycling shorts and bare feet will be seen again. Well that's what I was wearing in '95, weren't you?
- Nobody wears clothes here.
- Happily and luckily, King Gibbon has decreed that all Waltonians must wear nice clothes. "The Clothes Show"s Geoff Capes has designed a special range of clothes to wear. They are all made from spider silk, cow hide and leomon pith. Although not edible per se, they do remain as bright as the sun and light up even the coldest, darkest prison cell. Oh why me munna, why me-e-e-eeeeee.
