• World famous science fiction writer Bob Shaw (he wrote 'Warren Peace' and 'Orbitsville') lived at 98 London Road, Stockton Heath. His local was the Red Lion, Stockton Heath. He died at the house in 1996 and his funeral held at St Thomas's Church. Lots of well known scifi writers attended, including Ramsay Campbell.

Its only my opinion based on the show but I've see that type before and wouldn't want to again. • Beatle George Harrison's parents lived at Sevenoaks, Pewterspear Lane, Appleton. He bought them the house at the height of Beatlemania as an escape from the fans in Liverpool. George was a regular visitor to the house and was regularly seen in Stockton Heath. Interestingly, he was a big George Formby fan, who's parents - the original George Formby and mother Eliza - live at Hillcrest, London Road, Stockton Heath. George Harrison also wrote While My Guitar Gently Weeps at Sevenoaks in Appleton. I know this because George refers to it in the recent biography, The Beatles.
