- ring o'bells in bewsey serves fine cuisine and mean pint
- Avoid the Farmer's Arms (locally known as the Farmer's Arse) on Fearnhead Lane - it's a shit hole and they hate anyone under the age of 50. Whatever you do don't order anything complicated (i.e. anything with more than two syllables or more than two drinks at a time) or they'll get stressy and basically shout at you in front of the other customers. Edison's in town is a good place in daytime, relaxed atmosphere and plenty of pool tables - watch out for the evenings though when it fills up with townies out on the piss.
- THE ORFORD on gorsey lane has the best atmosphere around. the people in there are the best
- Until I Moved to Leeds, the Barley Mow In golden Square was my second home. I still visit, but alas the barley has also fallen into the shadow, never to return.

- THE WOODIES, CHURCHILS, TIGER TWO IS THE BEST OH AND CROSFEILDS CLUB IS THE BEST
- The best ever pub is "The King And Queen" in Padgate Lane.
- Barley Mow & Bluebell are good indie pubs and FX is quite a good dance music type bar. JD Whetherspoons is shit but cheap. Everywhere else is way too townie and full of twats looking for a fight!!

Top fights every night!. Top cuisine. yeh right a packet of beef&onion crisp is the best that you'll get.
RATING:1/2 /10.
YOURS BAZ AND MIKE!
- Barly mow for a laugh everyone ok in there ask for a 2 pint jug
- The Blue Bell - fantastic, esp @ weekends - easily better than The Barley, which has cetainly gone down hill big time!
- The Maltings (Old Hall).....Where age is no barrier
- Has to be Penketh Conservative club on a Friday night for the "Grab a Granny" disco and before you say it i'm NOT a Tory but it is place for cheap beer and so easy to pick up in there
- The Ferry Tavern in Penketh is a brill pub to sit and have a laugh with your mates, the 250 whisky's that they have on the bar can also proove for a entertaining night (and an expensive one)!
- The best pub in town on a Sunday Night, has got to be Churchills, putting out the best selection of Soul music in town. They were doing it way before FX and it's by far the busiest pub in town on a Sunday
- Top Totty in the "Courtyards at the Weekend!!!" Not Arf!!
- I was one of the 'Feathers' crowd back in the 70's. Is the place still there?
- The Orford, the closest thing to a Wookie bar this side of the universe, top pub, excellent crack, check out Higgy the local karoke hero, and a guy nicknamed Barry the Lamb, who sings Elvis songs with ba ba undertones, as in In The Ghhheeetttttooooo!
- I don't particularly like any in the town centre, maybe something to do with
trying to squeeze through 2 steroid pumped boucers that think they are gods gift
to anything. Particuly if they work for Walter o Malley.
- The BlackHorse in Sankey Bridges... the Oldest & friendliest pub in Warrington with the most genuine atmosphere.... Almost definately no idiots in there and a damn fine pint of Guinness....
- Barley Mow, Blue Bell
- the community centre in grappenhall - full of old blokes playing darts and dominos and talking about the good old days, oh and its the cheapest beer i can find in warrington

- Ye Olde Lion, in Bridge Street... the only town centre pub you can enter at 4.30 in the afternoon and see 10 old men watching Record Breakers
- The Walton Arms, Just outside Warrington (a56)2 miles from m56 j11, Great pub with Restaurant Monday nights can get very busy as they have a Quiz run by a geezer named Franky, if you love being insulted, this is the place for you Also have a live jazz night on friday's
- The Oldest Pub in Warrington is the Black Horse on the now Old Liverpool Road (They just changed the name of the road). It was built in 1632 and it is said that old Oliver Cromwell stayed there planning things for the takeover of Warrington (this is the time when Warrington was valued at being worth a mere 4p!). One of the Arch Beams on the Gable end of the pub is said to have come from Nelsons flagship 'The Victory'. Anyway, it's quite a fine pub for the odd game of 'doms' or darts... Bingo is held on Wednesday nights and Quiznight is on a Thursday. The Landlord, Landlady and barstaff are always up for a natter plus there is a really huge beer garden with swings and stuff for the kids...
- Tut 'n Shive, a top beer pub.

- Yates Wine Lodge open their doors to a spectacular development on Buttermarket street very soon
- I can't believe you haven't got The Barley Mow, Golden Square in the pub guide. Having lived in the grey shithole that is Warrington, the Barley is the main pub for people with taste. It gets packed to fuck at weekends, and if they've got a band on then don't expect to hear anything else, but other than that it's great.
- The best place to go in Great Sankey, Warrington for Karaoke every other Tuesday, is the Chaple House and its also got a car park and Beer Garden:-)
- The best pub in Warrington on Friday/Saturday nights is now officially "McCauleys" on Bridge Street.
- Also located near to Warrington is Burtonwood Brewery, the biggest (the only??) brewery in the area when the Carlsberg Tetley site goes (imminent).
- All the best pubs are located in the surrounding villages - try Grappenall.
- Has soom really good pubs in Penketh, more infomration can be foun at http://www.penketh.com
