  • i used to be an avid reader of rad magaizine when i was a young skater, i gave up 12 years ago then started last year again, when i came across the victoria park skateparc! gets too busy unless you arrrive there at 6 a.m., still there are a few there at that time. warrington skaters are too arogant though, not like when i used to skate in manchester town centre, bank square and bury half pipe!
  • Look for new(ish) estates away from the town central. Nice smooth surfaces and not too many chavs to watch out for means that you can spend hours skating without having to keep on checking for wear in your wheels and skates (im a blader, not a skateboarder). dunno bout spots for grinding and tricks though...Im a roller hockey player, not a freestyler=(
  • well warrington cna be good fro skatign the only thign si when you live there it can get pretty broign i can see that this hasnt had any info on it in a while im sure i saw something abot rick wilding being on there and hwo rad he is (HAHAHAHA) he was never good and eh doesnt even sk8 now coz he could only ollie also vicky park is now chav city full of em settign of fireworks etc. but if u stay out there way ur okk also the bussy 4 has gone :'( which is a real shame coz that was the best spot but there building a new bus staion which will hopefully have some good spots adn hopefully the dotn get stopped also rumours abot that bus station flatbank going is nto true its still there i have sk8ed a couple of times recently and also there is now a a nice metal thing which is ace for grinding there blocks that slide but u gotta set em up urself and put em back or else theyll get moved but u can set up soem good things dotn need waxing either and also sk8fx has moved to oppo sk8 park well at the co-op u can see it on ur way to the sk8 park but its liturally abot 2 mins away nice and close
  • Victoria Park has a Skate park in it.

  • my faveroute spot at the moment hast to be sheffield
  • Market stairs sets - 1 to a 9 set, too many police and pushy litterpickers these days! try sunrise for optimal skating Bus Station Stairs - big four set, quiet, no police. Watch out for the run off into a busy bus lane!!!!! Staples/Homebase Car Parks - after 8, its quiet, nice tarmac couple of manual pads and rails etc... Railway Bridge - Underneath, ideal for rainny days Flat Bank - Near railway bridge, on other side of the road to bus station stairs. Sketchy run up but nice tarmac bank Usual MFI etc loading bays - You'll find these on your own. Vikki Park - WICKED:Enough Said, watch out for the small minded chav birgade in evenings, they have big brothers apparently...! Honinton Way(Penketh) - Sum benches and concrete ledges, a few moaning shop owners though St Joeys School Car Park - A tarmac car park, usually a few skaters knocking about ASDA Westbrook - Old skool spot, little curb high ledges, nicely waxed (or used to be) you usual assortment of bins, boxes and trolleys to be creative with!
  • Vicky Park is crap anymore
  • Viki Park has a skatepark and its cool and theres a shop round the corner
  • Skateboarder Ric Wilding....is prolly the fastest skater is town...he hangs around with Dave PArtner at the bussy 4...go take a look!
  • The truth is there really is loads of hook up spots, but the main ones are round town. The problem is no1 ever get loads of peeps 2 go, just add your email addy on to this page. and get msn. Then all the BMX's and skaters in warrington can meet up and do what we all do best. so go ahead and add on your email addy

If its shit then at least youve tried and no not to go back there
  • Right lets get this sorted, warrinton is any skaters dream, it has a knarly park, the town centre is full of benches (that hav bin in sidewalk) and theres so many schools (bruche an woolston r best).the only thing bad bout this town is the god dam scallys..... All u sk8ers need to pick up ur boards look 4 spots and twat any scally u sea, 4 gods sake u have a piece of wood in ur hand use it. Now cum on this town has real potential to be ruled by sk8ers, show these scallys how its done. by phil coyne
  • OK let me see ............. Vicki skate park is now open,(long live that concrete heaven!!) Bruche primary school in near woolston has been re done its as smooth as glass and has lots of ledges and curbs watch out 4 cops though i got busted once just 4 sitting there, another gud spot is Woolston county primary school lots of rails and objects to tric off.
  • Victoria Park has a massive skate park
  • Back of the market I always thought...
  • Just infront of the escalators outside golden square the bus station 4. Theres a 1,2,3 and 4 set great for beginners lots of skaters meet up there. Random (Dave Partner) Gaz Lewis,Mark, titch and luke and jo go there a lot. Daves probably the best freestyler in Warrington go take a look. Also the back of the salvation army near kwik save only on a sunday though lots of flatground. Also we finaly have a skatepark it should be finished soon its located in victoria park.
  • vicky skate park is gona kick flange n scallies need to find sumwhere else to be ard bois. speak up skaters. the Robmyster.
  • GO TO VICKY PARK SKATE PARK! IT LOOKS SOOOOOO SWEET!! IT'LL BE OPENED BETWEEN 5TH TO THE 10TH NOVEMBER. COOL. EVERYDAY THERE. FRUITBOOTERS STAY AWAY!
  • Penketh High School – its getting a bit rough round there these days, someone got their face slashed the other day :P it’s still good. Viva le freaks.
  • cals hardcore ledge of doom on top of the bus station
  • There's one being built...
  • If you skate, not board, then go to newton train station, it has a nice triple kinked rail, although the stairs are way to big to gap. Apart from that most stuff has been mentioned, but theres little spots everywhere you just have to look REALLY hard cuz warrington is shite. Oh, anyone got a date for vicky park opening?
  • They are building a massive skateboard park next year. Its going to be great!
  • dodgy rails outside the market, the cause of many a broken collarbone
  • BIRCHWOOD scatepark gets boreing afetr awhile guys, its allso going down hill.. the council have taken away afew ramps and hav no funds to bring them back... its only realy got 2 good ramps which are the 7ft mini ramp with werad fiber glass n the metal quarterpipe... if you ask me you should just wait for the viki park scate park or go to newton le wiilows scate park... allso a good place for street is the buissness park in birchwood .. just watch out for sucraty....
  • theres a place at woolston weir that is gr8 4 skating. near the "brown house" hop the gate that leads down a grassy bank theres a sign that says keep out but theres no security of any kind. so any way you will come 2 a kind of pumping station and thats it. and tats also one more place to skate in warrington. :-)
  • Go to the town centre... if i had to tell you that, where have you been? Skaters paradise, truly. Hit it on a Sunday afternoon or at night (watch out for drunks) and it's sweet.
  • Anywhere in the town centre during the daytime - kids seem to use them everywhere !
  • none warrington sux for skate parks
  • A skatepark is being built in Vicky Park soon. Its a £200,000 concrete park so that's wrth waiting for. Other than that just go to Newton if you need to skate a park.
  • little rails nxt to the millhouse pub in cinnamon brow, only problem is getting off before the little stumps. the infamous double kerb near the EXi building oposite padgate campus. birchwood, newton, skatepark in culcheth soon too!

  • WARRINGTON is getting crazy come here in march 02 and sk8 YOU MUST there doing town up and it will be a sk8ers dream also try st james court by warrington rugby club main car park top and its all under cover
  • Have you seen the plans for the town center. Infact have you seen the stuff there building already. BOARDERS and RIDERS we are going to own this town when the shops close. Grind spots, drop off's, ledges. woohoo. Everyone come to Warrington ton center when its rebuilt. They may even build us a skate park (indoor) when they realise we've trashed 20 million quids worth of concrete and gay glass statues.
  • For your guidance the Birchwood Skate park is as follows Jncn 11 M62 left at first roundabout, across a small one- right at the next (or take a trip into Risley Moss Nature Reserve) and park up safely half way along...when u get to know the place you will find the car park (it's actually on your right when u cross the small roundabout!!)..no excuses..enjoy it but don't litter/loiter/lark around or lose your way!! - you'll never escape!
  • Ok, time to face the facts kids - Warrington is the worst place to be if you want to skate! There are literally no spots! Yes, the marble block in the golden square might look tempting, but security is tight! The guards are unreasonable jerks, don't mess with them! Get out a.s.a.p like I am, Manchester isn't far and the skate scene there is da greatest! Leave Warrington behind as a bad memory......
  • penketh high knee high rails some high stairs fish market stairs and rails the old fish market under cover nice marble bench
  • the main spots have already been mentioned on the site but a new skate park has just opened up in newton-le-willows in park there, amazingly its free and quite good and is built for skateboarders not bladers.
  • the sk8 park in birchwood its in birchwood forest park look on map
  • I need some help with skateboard spots, I'm still trying to find them but some guy wrote into sidewalk a couple of months back and said that the collegiate on winwick road is great. Times square is ok, bad surface though... there is a small skatepark hidden in Birchwood somewhere
  • Right then lets sort this out, I've skated for the last ten years so I should know whats going on. The original park at birchwood is now leathered, but a new 7ftis midi ramp has been built, funny fibreglass surface and swamp by sides only really makes this an option in the summer time. There are some brilliant bars to skate in the industrial estate which can be seen if you drive towards the park from the M62 junction (these can be a bit difficult to find but in my view they are one of the best spots in warrington at the moment). The banks at Woolston high are still good, but the surface is a bit crap so big soft wheels are best. Also good but only on Sunday is the marble bench next to the tea party thing in golden square (as featured in a recent copy of sidewalk). Also the handrails at the market if you are really gnarly.
  • The new flyover would have been great, but the designers realised that too. If somebody had a chissel and smoothed the sides down it'd be great.
  • there is aboslutly NOWHERE decent to skate in warrington you just have to make do with what you got and there aint much. skaters beware DO NOT MOVE HERE
  • Cool hand rails at the market at the back of Boots the chemist, but with a slightly bumpy bricked surface and some dodgey angles. Still got paint on them.
  • Outdoor Rareunit skate park device in a wood in the Birchwood area of town, just off the M62. Don't have exact coordinates at the moment and it's a bitch to find if you don't know where you are going, as all the roads look the same round there. Look for any parked cars on a grass verge next to some trees and there should be a gap in the trees to go through which brings you out into a smooth concrete clearing with metal quarter pipes, banks and other skateable equipment dotted around. Good luck!
  • Car park, Woolston High School. Big, smooth brick banks with two hips and a wall. Another set of steeper banks. Both sets with platforms. Good sessions. Good brick banks next to Gateway. Good wide benches. Very popular. Market up a bit from Odeon: Brick surface. Tons of stuff. Small banky bit.
  • When I was younger (and smaller *&) we used to squeeze under the gates on Market Gate multi-storey car park for a Sunday afternoons skating pleasure. Of course I wouldn't dream of recommending this to anyone...
