Looking for accommodation by Verna Aslin (Member 10011822) on 15-May-2000
Hi
I'm looking for self-catering accommodation in Warwick from 11th September -October 2 for myself and my 10-year old son. Don't require luxury but a modest degree of comfort so we can enjoy our stay. Two properties I know of are Copes Flat and Westgate cottage, if anyone knows anything else would appreciate some reasonably-priced alternatives to consider. With thanks in anticipation,
Verna Aslin (from Australia)

Were you on this course with Pam Britton and Julia Harper at Stratford College in 1984? I'm trying to arrange a reunion and would love to hear from anyone who was there.

Haseley Hall by val sinclair (Member 10004397) on 6-Nov-1999
I am trying to find out more about this building which used to be a convalescent home in the 1930s.

I have been informed that it is in Haseley Knob and has now been converted into flats.

Does anyone know any more about this building or the name of the developer??

    Haseley Hall:
My Great Great Grandfather Sir James Sawyer bought it in 1889. He later bought at different times plots of land and cottages on the west side of the main road.
The Original house was all the building west of the stair case. the rest he built.
After he died in 1919 the estate was sold to A.T. Avery and sons Ltd. manufacturers of weight machines and the Hall was converted by the... more >>

    Hi

Just found an old message you posted about Haseley Hall - I am typeing this email from Apartment 6 Haseley Hall & can confirm it is still going strong - There are about a dozen apartments here as well as some converted barns/new houses in the grounds - its a wonderfully quiet place to live, shame the pubs are a bit far to walk to !

I STILL REMEMBER THE BUILDING AND THE GROUNDS IN GREAT DETAIL AND I WENT BACK TO VISIT IN THE MID SEVENTIES BUT SADLY, IT WAS ALL BOARDED UP AND VERY RUN DOWN.
