- Bradley Walsh was brought up on the same council estate as me - in fact, I pushed him around in his pram once!

- Geri Halliwell used to live opposite me. And I was on the Weakest Link a few years ago - do I count? Oh, and not forgetting Fred Housego, the taxi driver from Croxley, who won Mastermind about 25 years ago.
- Martin Rossiter of 90's 'britpop' band Gene grew up in Watford and worked in Our Price at the top of the High Street.
- I've been told that both Ginger Spice and George Michael are from Watford, Eugh!

- For a bit of culture, Sir Henry J Wood, founder of the BBC promenade concerts, came from this town. He opened the building that is the High Street Macdonalds. Ex-Goon and Potty Time's Michael Bentine was the only Peruvian born in Watford.

- George Michael (Nth Watford) ex-Wham now appearing in public toilets. And of course Andy Ridgley (also ex-wham) now appearing in rehab. Joking apart I think Wham were brill, but I guess that shows my age.
