  I was begining to think the school didn't exist. I went to Victoria Girls but I was just leaving as you started. I remember Miss Fuhling who taught science she was my form teacher and we had to polish the benches. Best of luck in your search Maureen

  It's recently all been bulldozed and there are plans to build about 400 new houses there, though there is a lot of local opposition and the building work has been halted.

  This maybe too late, but,when leggatts closed down some of the teachers,came to my old school,Francis Combe,Horseshoe lane,garston,watford.Maybe they could help,i have no e-mail contact for the school so best of luck if you are still searching.

  The old Odeon became a Waitrose supermarket, but I believe that has changed now. I've not been back to Watford myself now for 11 years.

  The building was knocked down years ago and has now been replaced by a block of flats. The old Empire cinema has been closed for years as well, and is likely to be demolished soon. The only cinema complex is a relatively new multiplex on the Woodside site.
