The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call
You can tell us more about Wath upon Dearne.
Pubs
- plenty
- the church house is definately the place to be fiday, satdurday before going to town, saracens has past its date and the new inn will always bring in a fresh face now and again
- THE WHITE BEAR INN, NOW UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT (DARRYN + CAROL) THE BEST AROUND! REFURBISHED FULLY IN JANUARY 2004. HAS KARAOKE EVERY THURS NITE 'N' SAT NITES HOSTED BY NEIL WHITEHOT!. CHEAP BEER AT £2 PINT N LAGER ONLY £2.20 PINT. POOL TABLE, BANDITS, GOLF MACHINE AND FOOTBALL TEAM ON SUNDAYS. VERY COSY PUB, ALWAYS WELCOMED. GIVE IT A GO!
- Church House ok for cheap ale, Lion ok for pre-suicide and if you dont mind the rat infested toilet facilties, decent Jukebox tho. Saras ok. But the Greastest has got to be THE WHITE BEAR, where kareoke legends ply their trade on thursday nights, watch for the mohawk sporting, 40% proof legend aka Roy, who sings classics such as the theme from Minder and Don't stop believing by Journey. Also watch out for the oliver reed lookalike who consumes more alcohol than an entire continent throughout the weekend! He can be spotted from fri to sun in any 3 of the pubs in Wath. D.O.T.
- READ NOWwell there is the dearnesman but u can not go in if u ant got a nick name
cos its there law an its about 10 pound a pint
- Church house on a friday, see u there!
- Church House is cheap. Squash Club is good, but too expensive, we should turn it into an alt. club
- the Staithes on Doncaster Road (Manvers roundabout) good food, great beer - improved no end since new landlady took over late 2003
- COTTAGE OF CONTENT good beer but a misarable bastard landlord lads in taproom great laugh best side full of tossers
- the New Inn attracts a fresh faced crowd, tho'many have moved on to the church house. The Burlo and Church House are the best pubs in Wath.
- Church house has the cheapest beer in town and is one of my favourite hang outs!
- New Inn. Mick and Margaret no longer there. Now owned by a taxi driver!! Cheap Indian restaurant wallpaper in best side, silver blinds in tap room - Very posh! Still good for rush at last orders. Extensive menu - If you like pie and peas.
- alway's loads happening, good atmosphere, greeeeat food, were reet aint wie
- alway's loads happening, good atmosphere, greeeeat food, were reet aint wie
- go to church house its new CHEAP and is a good place for funky vibes!
- the saracens head wath on dearne now have new tennants shaz & rob it is now the in place to be weekends also known as wath night club
- Pocket for quality, Burlo for cheep strong lager and old men to talk to, church house for very cheep drinks, Red Lion for Miller. Avoid Sares Head at all cost, unless you have a puffer jacket and a cap balanced right at the top of your head.
- church house has to b the place to be in wath cheap and cheerful!
- the church house is the best and cheapest pub for miles!
the do a pint for only £1.05!
- Corner Pocket Snooker Club is the best plact in town although Church House boasts prices of £1 for most drinks (very cheep to make a power shandy). If you prefer the company of old men and strong cheep ale try the Burlo, the place ledgends are made of(except when Hodgey randomly throws pint glasses across the room)
- Six form parties rule at the Rugby club. Its the ultimate party place
- The pocket and burlo rule. The burlo has a bit of an old man feel as it is full of them, but it does sell firewater and Lenny on the door is a legend. Church house is smart and cheep but there is a lack of musicand pool tables there
- The Church house. Used to be a shit hole. Now a classy joint. £1.09 a pint of lager or John Smiths smooth.
- CHURCH HOUSE FRIDAYS (DONT FORGET TO VISIT THE GIRLS TOILETS...HOW COOL ARE THEY)
OR IF YOU FANCY A CHANGE THE SANDYGATE MONDAY AFTERNOONS YOU CAN TAKE TOM AND MIKEY ON AT POOL
- The Red Lion has a good juke box & hosts the local folk club every Sunday night
- Burlington is highly recommended, if only to see Lenny on the door.
- I cannot believe that no one has mentioned the brilliance that is WATH CORNER POCKET SNOOKER CLUB. The place is situated on Wet Moor Lane (my street) and is top bollocks. It is also home to the Pocket Boys ( CPS Leisure FC ) check out the web page at www.cps-leisure-fc.fsnet.co.uk
- THE CHURCH HOUSE HAS BEEN RESSURECTED - iT TAKES ALL THE YOUTH CLUBS CUSTOM
IF YOU ARE DENIED ADMITTANCE, EVO WILL GO INTO JACKSONS FOR YOU FOR THE PRICE OF 2 CIGS....................................................................
oR GRAHAM FOR A BLOWJOB
- Sandygate it rules
- HY IT´S JOSE MIGUEL NEILA , FROM SPAIN , I SPENT IN WATH A COUPLE OF WEEKENDS FIVE YEARS AGO, LONG LIVE THE NEW INN! (PAUL GATHROPE,MAURICE SENIOR AND PAUL JONES, WHAT THE HELL´S ABOUT YOU?
- I Understand that Weatherspoons have bought the Church House but are struggling with the local council over plans for a beer garden. They fear it will attract the wrong type of clientel. Lets face it, any type of clientel will be a blessing as Wath is as exciting as listening to the Archers. (Sorry Linda Snell)
- Pint o' Johns at t' Red Lion
- THE PLOUGH
Go there its cool...better than rugger club and burlington, there crap. No Offence, but its true.
- Does anyone know anyone who uses the Telstar 'cos we don't... What a dive, used to be one of the finest pubs in the area, in fact it was the finest when Dave and Joanne were in residence. Great live bands on a weekend, Kevin the great djaying his way through Fridays, looks like its been shipped over from Bosnia now.... To whoever franchises it, lets get rid of the riff raff and have a decent pub back please, start with getting some decent management in...
- BURLO IS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW, CHEAP, GOOD BEER, CHEAP POOL (UNLESS THERES A MATCH ON, THEN YOU HAVE TO WATCH ALL THE REALLY GOOD PLAYERS IN THE PUB....YEH,RIGHT)
- New Inn-justget there for last orders
The berlow it may be full of old people it may have a no swaring pollicy that only old people can break but it's cheap(like the budgy) and every one goes there
- Someone give the Burlington credit, here...cheap beer and a pool table where you actually have chance of getting a game!

- AND THE NEW INN pub is the best one...... I used to work there.... haha..If you can put up with mike and margaret....
- There are two kinda posh pubs - The Sandygate located on Sandygate! and The Staithes found on Doncaster Road near to the new commerical estates.
- New Inn next to Esso garage on the main road. Red Lion, next to Munch box. Saracen's Head next to midland bank, which is opposite the bus thingy.
- The Church House is quite good and quite cheap too but my mates were once accused of stealing the cue ball from the pool table and as a result were refused serving at... The New Inn which is alright but it's best avoided on a Friday cause all these young twats go in.
