Skateboarding Spots
  • on the wreck.
  • if you're insanely mad theres a double set near wath clinic, its a 6 and a 7 i believe and has enough run up to be ollied or tricked. however i have only ever seen one person sucessfully ride away from it and he did also break his ankle!
  • SKATE SPOT: steep 11 stair with good sized round handrail, has a good long run up without skate stoppers. landing is a little sketchy with walls on either side it can feel a little tight. overall a good stair stair set, one to compare with sheffields roxy/odeon 11!!! LOCATION: Montgomery Square Wath Upon Dearne Rotherham South Yorkshire S63 7RZ SKATE PARK: wath upon dearne DESIGN: beginner skatepark wath skatepark has a good atmosphere. with people who travel from all over the dearne valley area, there is almost always someone there to skate with. the park comprises of 4 quaters (one concrete)??? two flatbanks, three driveways (no hips) and one with a three stair. also with hubba's across and down all three drive ways. there is a small spine and a not so beginner grind box made of conrete which is roughly 1.5' tall however there are some major downsides to this park ie; slight ramp surface damage, not many lines, lacks combinations in ramps, wet... unless the weather is sunny it takes a fair while for the park to dry up which can be a huge bummer, no lights (broken by hoodlums), usually rubbish, glass and debris on the ground and some ramps (mostly only weekends). location: the rugby field resides along biscay way and station road wath upon dearne rotherham south yorkshire
  • by day quite decent skate park by night, smackheads orgy

  • Well basically all of wath is cool for skating. theres some benches and some poles. its mainly kids on bikes without seats tho. where Jimnal or Clarkey is theres sure to be skating.
  • The whole town centre. Numbers have depleted since Kev and Oli moved to Donny though.
  • KEV AND OLI,I USED TO ENJOY THE STORIES OF HOW THEY IRITATED THE RESIDENTS OF WATH WITH THEIR SKATING ANTICS. SHAME YOUR NOT AROUND ANYMORE LADS!! WE MISS YA!!
  • What's wrong wi' a spinning top, kids these days!
  • centre but the guys have moved away. Kevs dad and ollies mum got it together and live in donny (kev and ollie together-what a bedroom) oh and aiden tagged on for the laugh. but moved back. I threw up in jims flat-----yey!
  • Every where surley , lot of benchs alot of rails (kwick save car park)
  • Middle of Wath, near bus thingy. A few big rails if you like that sort of thing, nothing special though. The cobbles can be fun if you've had one too many........................
  • Well i don't live here but i visit quite alot. The ramp which has been written about was demolished donkeys years ago. In the center there masses of benches all it quite an enclosed area. At Wath comp there is a nice low hand rail down about 4 steps. There are large sets of stairs around the by the shops. The college has an undercover section with steps of increasing size and a massive hand rail round the corner. Next to the swimming baths there is a car park with knee height rails which curve round 90 degrees at the end ( good fun ). At netto there is a knee height square rail which makes a change from benches, there is a nice thigh high rail where the trolleys go. Kwik Save has got manual blocks a skatchy handrail gaps( has to be seen to be understood ) As i said i don't live here ( i live in Plymouth ) but i visit 3 times a year and im always finding rad new stuff. There are only 3 skaters and they are cool ( Adie cheers for being rad when i visit ) If your in the area visit and enjoy.
