Live Music Venues
- There is a promotions company (well i say that, i mean me) based in welford that runs gigs at the Lizzy every 3 or so weeks. The listings can be found at www.myspace.com/thecoolestkidsintown . Its mainly local or new bands. Northampton has the soundhaus, where you can see many credible indie acts (the killers played there, razorlight, the futureheads) before they become huge.
- I saw a band at the Wharf called "Skolstanki". I don't know what the name means but man did they rock!! I can't wait to see them again and join the mosh pit. Oh, and they were excellent at the lizzy too once. If I owned a pub I'd book them every week - worth every penny!
- The Lizzy sometimes has music nights, Irish Nights and that sort of thing, you know, its an alright sort of place that you can eat drink and be merry til the early hours.
