- Fiona Castle (nee Dixon) married to the entertainer Roy went to Avalon School. John Bowe (Doug in Corrie) went to Calday Grammar School(aka Stuffy, as he liked his food)
- Hugo for drinking 18pints at calday 7s, falling through the barrier, getting chucked out by the bouncers and getting carrier home
- Bob Buckle!
- Ian Graham owner of defunct Max Spielmann sold it for £24million
- Faye Dempsey (That girl who won stars in their eyes dressed as sandra dee from grease) lives in westkirby, but i hear things didnt exactly take off for her musically anyway! last seen hanging round sunbed shops and trying to latch on to footballers in liverpool (unsucessfully Again!)

- The Coral come from just down the road!
- The Coral(actually from Hoylake, but it's all the same ;D), a new band. They've been on MTV, Smash Hits, The Box and everything!
- Lots of footballers in Caldy, along with a load of other millionaires. Glenda Jackson went to my school somewhere back in the mists of time. Oh, and The Coral are from nearby Hoylake and went to Hilbre High School.
- Dietmar Hamman the LFC midfielder has moved to nearby Caldy and can often be seen in Safeway
- Nobody has put the Coral in yet! they're from west kirby, right? in fact some of my mates kno them.. get me! y'all kno dreamin of you...
- The Guitarist from Genesis went to school on the site that is housing development on Meols Drive ummmm, no-one else really. But Hoylake is the home of Glenda Jackson (actress) and John Lennon's first wife.
- Stephen hesford - local labour MP
- Half the Liverpool Team , and a few spare millionaires lying around here and there :O)
- Victor Gourlay VC, blown up in WW1 and lends his name to a muddy track leading from Grammar School Lane to Column Road.
Daniel Roberts, playwright, poet, wit, raconteur and general roue of the Soho school divides his time between West Kirby and sunnier climes.
- Rich Bright , famous for his similarity to a dinosaur at just 16
- Ian Rush, and many other millionairres who like the suburb of Caldy with its towering mansions and landscaped gardens. Every day I walked to school past them all and wished I lived in one...
- Joanna MacGregor, world famous concert pianist lives in West Kirby (but not for much longer);
Sir Malcolm Sargent used to as well (when running the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra);
Sir Adrian Boult allegedley lived in WK and gave his first concert here.

I suppose theres quite a few people you could list, but most of the are imfamous rather than famous.
Whoever it was..... that did the trains at west kirby. the artwork was good and it made the papers- gentlemen, we salute you.
- Chris Rugen, the founder of a major international telecoms company
- Chris Rugen the inventer of the Marconi Telecomms System X.
- famous as a local resident - you must be familiar with the following;
the little fellow who covers his jacket in gold brooches - he has a stall in birkenhead market, the old lady with the dogs, the grumpy people that run Absolems newsagents (does she ever smile?), old Mr Cross who drives his taxi at 2 miles/hour, the lovely old couple who own Work and Play, Lyn the gossip who runs take two videos, Mr Ali at the Royal Bengal and all the other Ali's.
- Famous Caldy residents (the more affluent part of West Kirby!) include Ian Rush - LFC.

- In the 1950's, thousands of young airmen spent their "square-bashing" days at the Royal Air Force Station R.A.F. West Kirby.
