- Cheungs Chippy at the coronation buildings. Its not much, buts the chips are lovely
- Randy's Kitchen
- Hi could you add this, please
Recenty Dancenorthwest, the local 'Modern French Jive' company ran a Charity night for Claire Houe during which we raised £520 for Claire House Children's Hospice. One of our Customers won £25 off a meal at Kuki's Restaurant 119 Banks Rd West Kirby.
I asked for some feed back , sorry for the pun, and here's what he said
' Good atmosphere, the food was Excellant and the staff very attentive'
He's obviously a man of few words but I think they sum up the fact that it was a great prize and a great meal. Fancy trying them then call 0151 625 3100.
When you visit them tell them you heard about them through their Charity donation for Claire House.
Want to know more about Jive, the fun night out and you'll learn to dance, then check out www.dancenorthwest.co.uk

- mmmmmmm, this is what we're good at......... scognamilios, the green room, casa mia, terraz c (the old post office) and the welcome chippy
- The Jade Chinese and English takeway by The Alacadoo restuarant
- The Alacadoo is dead - Long live the Alacadoo. It went away on holiday and came back with new owners. Unfortunately the food, service and wine list is crap and the only remains of the old Alacadoo is the miserable waitress no-one liked anyway. Avoid unless you're bored with everywhere else. The Green Room is great under new ownership now the snotty guy has gone. If you want to give your bowels a good shake-up go see my mate Azad for the best Curry in town at the Spice Room (where the old Rue-de-Banque (and others before it)used to be). A real cool guy. Enjoy!
- Surfers, the Choc Pot dessert it gourgeous!
- Surfers, Rue De Banque, Scognamiglios, Royal Bengal, Green Room, Casa Mia, Brasserie Mondiale, there's loads more that I can't think of as well. Also most of the pubs do lovely meals. For take aways, try Marigold's for lovely fish and chips or Millennium Dragon for a Chinese.
- food tastes nice
- white lion - scampi fries
- We love walking on the beach then having a home delivery from Jay at Pizza Magic!
- FLAME AND WOK is the best Chinese take away and all those good looking people who work there!
- 2 New Restaurants opened. One called The Spice Room and the other is called Karma. Both are upmarket Indian restaurants and both are recommended
- 'The Royal Bengal' on Banks Road - the Indian Restaurant that taught West Kirby what a curry was. A near legendary monolithic momument to cumin and masala! Nice decor too.
- Please could you add this about Marigold Cafe: Marigold was voted in The Observer (10/3/2002) as one of the UK's Top 20 Fish & Chip restaurants. Thank you. Great job you're doing!
- the alacadoo is now the restaurant mondiale, very friendly service and good menu more people should eat there
- Delete references to Alacadoo Restaurant, it is now "Brasserie Modiale"
- The best ever indian eat-in and take restaurant ever- saifs on banks road, now named Suhel Balti house.
It doesnt sell alcohol so you have to take your own- which is one great excuse for getting hammered while enjoying the tastiest curries in the land.
The blokes that run the joint are all sound guys but cannot always understand what you are saying so speak loudly and clearly.
The prices are also reasonable and you definetely save money on drinks.
There are 4 booze shops in the area, 'one-stop' is literally 50 metres away and is laffin for gettin the 8 for 6 deals on lager etc
You can also make bookings for loads of people e.g. 25-30 or even book the whole joint out which fits about 40ish
Its a must
- The flame and wok looks nice - never been in :S
- The Marigold is by far and away the best chippy. Big pieces of haddock or cod. The traditional sit down meal of fish, chips, mushy peas, white bread and butter and a pot of tea is wonderful. The Welcome and the Jade are accpetable only if the Marigold is shut. I haven't been to the Green Room recently but it is far too expensive for what it is. Like wise Surfers whihc is just an up market burger bar with silly prices. The Royal Bengal is very good. Casa Mia is very friendly, and will supply things not on the menu no problem. They have several varieties of Grappa too! Their Barolo is good too.
- Wetherspoons have taken over the Dee Hotel and are opening it in September 2001
- Marigolds- Mmm mmmm officially the best chippy in the world
Surfers - Great food, friendly, all rounder
Wok 'n' Fry - West Kirby has a couple of chinese places, but this is the best. Just opened on the corner opposite Le Bizz, the food is to die for.....
- NOT TOO SURE IF THIS WILL GET PUBLISHED, BUT DONT GO TO SURFERS RESTAURANT, I USED TO WORK THERE THE KITCHEN IS MINGING AND JANE THE BOSS IS A T@%T.......TO SAY THE LEAST !!
- There is a new icecream shop where Tottey's used to be. it is set to rival Parkgate!
The upmarket restaurant is Scoglamiglios in Banks Road. It's not cheap but the genuine Italian food is excellent.
- Green Room the best fillets around
- brasserie mondiale, as all me mates work in there.
- Take your pick !!!!! Sayers , Safeway , Marigolds , Welcome Chippy , Millenium Dragon , the list goes on and on
- Again, another huge industry in West Kirby. Anything from Chinese to Indian and good 'ole Pub food. I'd have to say a little place called the Alacadoo is my favourite, and it's been there almost as long as the town itself!
- Welcome chip shop
it is over the road from olive grove
- Cafe Royal. nice, serves ale
Roosters. mmmm nice food!!!
The Alacadoo. CHeesy spanish settings without the cheesy spanish prices. tapas nites are funny tho.
- pizza majic is the best, roosters is shit
- Franco's has now closed, and has become La Rue Des Banques (and guess what -it's on Banks Road) TACKY!! And the Riyue-tan round the corner is turning into a Balti House. The Welcome chinese has got some stiff competition from a Southern Fried Chicken Place but I'm sure it will survive.
- Surfers resturant on Banks road is the only place to eat! a mix of American & English food
- Totties the ice cream shop is now closed down sadly - we have to make do with Safeway over the road.
- I am extremely upset to hear that Totteys makers of excellent ice cream and vendors of lime green plastic spades and buckets has ceased to be. How sad! Many a happy moment was spent listening to Mr T chick chocking about his mint choc chip! He was a bit of a character who came across as a very nice man but one sandwich short of a picnic! I used to live in Meols, another raging town full of clubs and pubs NOT apart from the wonderful TRAX which has recently returned back to normality with a mighty fine juke box well stocked with OASIS etc.
- A number of places to eat. Italian has Scognamiglios, Franks and Casa Mia (Good with kids). Alacadoo is good value and great food. The Green Room has picked up with a recent change of ownership and The Bengal Curry house in Banks Road is worth trying.
- Two excellent chippies - the Jade and the Welcome.
- One thing that West Kirby has a lot of (apart from elderly people) is restaurants, from Chippies to Cordon Bleu. The Marigold Chip Shop is renowned for its fish, chips and mushy peas and people come from as far as Maghull to sample this traditional British fayre. As well as this there are Italian, Continental, American influenced, Indian restaurants. I can recommend the Royal Bengal for its amazing Indian food and extremely friendly service. But perhaps the best restaurant is the Green Room for its continental atmosphere, tasteful decor and delicious cordon bleu food yummy!! In summer you feel as if you could be abroad in such surroundings especially with the live jazz piano music echoing down the street.
