- theres a little shop on Banks Road called In The Hood, sells some alternative clothing
- Mackays in Dee Lane, a lot of charity shops, In Da Hood for the moshers and such, there's a surfing shop on Banks Road that I can't remember the name of (possibly just called Surfers) and the recently opened Surf and Ski in Bridge Road, hard to find, but it's there!

- The new windsurfing shop, D-Spot Wetsports on banks road has surf lables including MAMBO and Tucagua.
- There all pretty naff, but this is where the Pantheon of West Kirby charity shops on Grange Road and Dee Lane come to the rescue. All manner of wierd, wonderful, brash and downright groovy threads can be bought for the price of a pint. Mind you you'll have to wade through urine soaked tweed to get to 'em.
- This is a sore subject unless you are very old there is nothing here in the way of clothes for the younger generation go to Birkrnhead or better still Liverpool for up to date and fashionable items!
- Coop in Dee Lane is now Mackays cheapish chain.
- help the aged, sue ryder, imperial cancer research, loads of cool retro stuff in there.
- Generally not many decent clothes shops unless you want to look over around 45
Best go to Liverpool aswell
- You may have to search further afield for anything decent
- Plenty of these, but tend to be more for oldies than anyone else. Take Shefali's for example...now there's a lesson in Retro style (problem is, it's not intentional!)
- used to be 2 surf shops
but in the sailing club there is a clothes shop
- liverpool- quiggins.
- oxfam and YMCA
- New one by Safeways has replace the CO-OP
- Surf magic for any surfing labels, they also sell long boards and snake things.
- Mmmm, try Birkenhead 6 miles away none of credit in WK...
- Work & Play is a 'surplus' store with real used military wear. Great value and run by an amiable nutcase who will either bore the pants off you or fascinate you depending on your point of view.
- Lots of Charity shops if you're into 70's clothes. Plenty of bargains to be had for the bargain hunter.
