You can tell us more about West Kirby.

Cafes and Coffee Shops
  • Try Sands in Dee Lane for a takeout tea or filter coffee for just 85p, £1.30 to eat in. They do paninis, pizzas, burgers & loads more. The pizzas start at £3 for a 9" cheese & tomato, there's nowhere cheaper or more delicious in West Kirby!

  • There is a new cafe/ bar in West Kirby called The Roe. Its a good place to meet the girls/lads for a drink or some food. Its not cheap but you pay for what you get. The staff are friendly and approachable. Its worth a vist. Even if you only vist it the once. I don't live in West kirby so I couldn't comment on the area to much. 16/11/06
  • behind thorntons
  • There is The Food Fayre Cafe with tearooms and Food Fayre food shop next to it wer my gran works. and opposite there is Capers Coffee and Bites
  • Sands is where its at for a killer chocoalte fudge cake.
  • the shed
  • I tried to count the cafes in West Kirby once but gave up cos there are so many. Just look round til you find one where there are some spare tables not taken up by OAP couples getting friendly with each other. But I can reccomend Chris's Pantry behind The Crescent (if it's still there!) and Kane's in Banks Road, also the coffee shop in the station has cleaned itself up a bit lately and serves good ice cream and cappucino.
  • trimbs house
  • The Shed makes a great sandwich
  • safeways paid me pop a cap in totty's ass.
  • Tottey's Icecream has re-opened (2001) as "Breakers" Icecream - first class.
  • The cafe Royal on the promenade. Its small but very homely and has a pool table. Theres the odd weirdo in there and a really little lad called justin(he's actually 18) . He is always stoned off his face and is funny as hell.
  • Breakers where totteys used to be situated has tried to create a sort of "neighbours" or Home & away" type coffe shop...but has failed miserably. Although it is pleasent the prices are though the roof.
  • Safeway? Disgusting coffee.
  • Breakers-the new place by Safeway has lurvely grub and drinks but can be a bit expensive.
  • The old one along the wirral way always good for a warm drink after a good bit of speed riding down the wirral way, then the drop off the cliffs only made it once without falling off but doing the vertical was a laugh :O)
  • CAFE ROYALE! EVERYONE IS PISSED IN THERE, I MEAN EVERYONE.
  • Cafe Royale down by the marine lake is always sound
  • Youth Club, supplies many of these things including slush drinks, go and have a chat and a sit down!!
  • West Kirby is famed for its Cafes. Walk anywhere and there's at least four to choose from where you're standing. My favourite is a new addition, a Coffee House opposite a nice (the nicest) chip-shop 'Welcome Fish & Chips' and next to the local post-office. They do nice Cafe Lattes there!
  • Olive Grove in west kirby by sandlea park
  • The cafe Royal- the only place to get 1 bowl of chips and about ten pints with your m8s after hours. you'll have to buy some food first tho.
  • coffee potr in the station does fantastic bagettes at v.reasonable prices
