- The Fire House has really mellow live acts going down in a classy venue.
- theres usually always a battle of the bands going on in some school around west kirby, always a good laugh.
- The Concourse youth club is surprisingly good for local bands. Or have a look round the pubs til you find something. Otherwise there's Birkenhead for the bands that have made it a little further - Pacific Road, Iron Door, other random pubs. For 'proper' bands you'll need to go to the Academy or the Royal Court in Liverpool. Some bands miss out the area entirely and you have to go to Manchester.

- macdona drive - phil binks lives there - from the chart topping 'instinct'.
- Some of the pubs have live bands from time to time, but it ain't quite 'The Marquee' or 'Whiskey a Go Go'. The next best place is the Plasterers Arms pub in the backstreets of Hoylake, where some very enertaining one or two man bands play every week.
- Classical Chamber Concerts in St. Andrew's Meols 6 times a year.
- The cafe royal on the promenade regularly has live music and regardless of how few people are in there it always seems full because it is so small
- the youth club has a couple of killa bands, check em out.
- West Kirby Youth club on occasion , never really a good occasion though .
- YOUTH CLUB - free band practice space - can't say fairer than that!! But hey, can we get some nice men in there please!!
