Cheap Food
- Grouts in Hamlet Court Road does good bread and pies n stuff, bit more pricey than other shops like greggs but better value. Staff are usually very good too. Just be careful where you tread when you come out munching your pies as the nearby alley is sometimes used by late night revellers for all sorts of indecent purposes. The famous westcliff human poo was there for many months before the council tidied it away!
- The Fishy Fryer in Fairfax Drive does the biggest portions of chips and curry sauce. Oldhams is way too tight with their chips.

the esplanade restaurant on the seafront
- has to be ask with no question of a doubt
- The Choi Kei Chinese take away was the bomb. Haven't been there for years but their pancake rolls certainly filled a hole.
- Loads of restaurants and takeaways in Hamlet Court Road. All nationalities and types; all worth trying.

- The Purbani on London Road between the Plough & Hamlet Court Road is probably the best Indian in Westcliff.
The Oldhams fish & chip shops at the Plough and Queens Road off the high street are very probably the best in the world.
