The Best Things in Weymouth, Dorset*
If you're around, be sure to check these things out
You can tell us more about Weymouth.
The Best Things
- The Front, Subway.
- THE FRONT WEYMOUTHS ONLY (good) AND BEST SKATE PARK
- living by the sea in an incredibly beautiful spot (shame it is being altered into a modern faceless town)
- Portland, an island only let down by the chavvy little alcoholics who frequent Easton area. Most of Weymouth although quite often bad mouthed by big headed know-nothings or people who think they are better than everyone else.
- Weymouth Trawler Race is very much alive and well.
A new committee new sponsors and new ideas, a great family day out.
Events both on and off the water, come and have fun,
Contact me Peter Target 07976528054
- Ivan: he should be put on late night channel 4!
- you might bump into Oz Whyte.
- The beach and the friendly people from the K7
- breath-taking views, gorgeous beaches and scenary. I went for many holidays when I was little with my family and loved it. It's NOT designed for a party-hard-holiday,not at all. It's a relaxed, camping/bed+breakfast FAMILY orientated. it's beautiful. I would go back there to see the clubs, but not trash the place as I respect this place very much!!
- the balti house is the best restaurant, it has been given status for being in the top 100 best restaurants in the U.K at the British curry awards
- Definitely Weymouth Pavillion! Old and shabby it may be, but comfortable, pleasant staff, helpful when booking by phone AND great entertainment particularly the sixties groups, even Tony Christie!
And the colour of the sea!
- Locals, nights out, excessive amount of pubs, beach, sea
- SCOFFERS AT NIGHT, ALWAYS ENDS THE NIGHT NICELY!
- Chickerell isnt far away
- the country kitchen cafe - good food - good prices and some very jovial staff.
- The Thunderbolt speedboat rides which run from near the town bridge. It's such a cool ride, and I wish he'd run all year round, not just in the summer!
- Growin up in weymouth
- Slags, slags and more slags? does that count?
- Slags, slags and more slags? does that count?
- The view from the Ridgeway day or night as you come into Weymouth. AMAZING.
- Tis home from home!! People take it for granted - and shouldnt we are lucky to live in such a pretty town! Surrounded by friends and family who couldnt like it!
- the sea, the beautiful sweeping bay. the harbour in the summer.
- It's easy to be someone special here, as everyone else just...isn't.
- The view as you come over the Ridgeway, day or night is amazing. The beach parties in the summer. Everyone knows you.
- The original indig people who you get to know
- Chickerell is just down the road....its just a better place
- Trawler Race Day!
New Years Eve
Catching up with my local friends who I dont see much now I live in Nottingham!
- Obviously the beach, they don't get much better than that. Also the duty free that you can still get on condor. People are really friendly here too, they only turn bad when people try and steal our search and rescue helicopter.
- All my friends still live there
- Passion and Pain Tattoo Studio. Finns, Verdis.
- The sea...gorgeously unspoilt at all times. The bay...the view is breathtaking, whatever the weather. The Nothe... Weymouth has so many interesting little bits. Great for dog walkers!
- Tattoo Magic in Park Street 1 of the best in England
- the view when you arrive in town having been away for 3 years - fantastic -
- Sea, Portland Bill's waves. Great locals, the best seaside town in the UK. Much less crime then London.
- New Years Eve Parties in town.
- The beach is wonderful, especially on a hot hot day! The town is getting better.
- There is lovely land and I can go out for a half hour drive and be somewhere completely beautiful
The shops are pretty good on the whole
- You are now leaving Weymouth
- New Year is a must, if you can't get to trafalgar square you must go to Weymouth, anything goes especially fancy dress and water.
- Just a quick note to say that i think WEYMOUTH like all other towns has got its bad points but i have been coming here for a few years now and find it a very lovely place. If you are rude to the locals then except to be given a bad reply. People are human treat others with respect and they will do the same for you. The shops are good and i have found that the Toy shops offer very good value for money.
- parties up the nothe, the beach on a summers' evening and (most of the people)
- NOthing, except for easy pullable girls, for more information call BUDMOUTH school
- New Years Eve cannot compare to the night out you can have in Weymouth. Do not attempt to show your face unless you are prepared to show up in fancy dress, drink copious amounts of alcohol and sing traditional songs around the Jubilee Clock freezing your arse off!
Also, check out Trawler Race Day in May where you can spend the whole day getting pissed as newts and having a general bloody good laugh!
- THE BEACH AT 5 AM IN THE SUMMER I SUGGEST YOU WATCH THE SUNRISE FROM EITHER THERE OR THE NOTHE
- boy racers!!!! beach, lakeside
- Sun, sea, sand and sex (with those innocent girls who go to The Malibu Nightclub and Harry's)
- Loads of women on holiday in the summer!
Living by the Sea!
- Eventually everyone will know you and say hello to you in the street.
- Rowing boat ferry across the harbour, Pavillion to Nothe (by Yaught Club). Local colour, language and character from (usually) ex-lifeboat men. Hands the size of a bunch of bannanas.
View of Weymouth from Preston Beach wall. The distance takes years off the town.
Sitting along the esplanade for breakfast. Calm before the storm.
Watching traffic gridlock.
- Sun + Sea
- Great sandy beach.
- Fish and chips.
- Nothe Fort Gardens.
- Bowleaze Cove.
- Fishing off the pier. Very friendly people Summer weather with cool breezes Warmer than inland in the winter
- On New Years Eve the whole town turns out in fancy dress, its not unusual to come across whole squads of Star Wars style Storm Troopers attacking people with water pistols. The evening climaxes under the clock tower - a really excellent way to spend New Years eve!
