Clubs (Dance Music) and Music Bars
  • Harry's, not as bad as most of the grockels or prejudiced people state, good for a laugh and decent music with reasonably priced alcohol, what more do u want from a club? Finns if you like the rock stuff, although its the same crowd every night it never changes. Banus holds a gay night every second wednesday of the month. Dorothies stays open the latest it now has that 24 hr license but watch out for the scary old people that frequent the place.
  • finns is cool but only because jamie pinnow use to work there!
  • Harry's
  • Finns - Metal and punk rock
  • Harry's Club.... mmmm where do I start, actually should be called Fight Club, if a) you want your face filled in and jumped by groups of chav's cause yer face don't fit!!! And as for the bouncers - total w****rs!! Good pubs are The Rectory, Bar on the Corner & 2012. Banus -Is Weymouth catwalk full of nobodies wanting to somebodies. Rendevous - mmmmm, not great. Really need a chilled club with R&B etc for decent club!
  • Thomas Mowlams's..new bar on fleet lane..great alternative music and people.
  • Oh my god.... If you havent been to weymouth for a while but still remember things like Harry's (Dirty Harry's), Players and the Malibu, prepare to be shocked!!!! Malibu turned in to Banus - the new owner tried to make a clubbers club but failed miserably and it's really not worth going to. Players died (hooraah) and is now Dusk - it's pretty good on a monday but i prefer the next place on my list! HARRY'S BAR & NIGHTCLUB - They finally had a refurb downstairs and it really does look like a classy bar now. The layout is like it was before the last disaster of a refurb and the music has gone back to golden oldies, cheese and numpty tune. Roumer has it that upstairs is going to get done next and if it's half as good as downsatirs then it looks like Harry's will take Weymouth back again. It really does have to be seen to be belived!!!
  • I can't believe how some people say that Banus night club is rubbish. last weekend my boyfriend and our friends decided to come to Weymouth for the weekend as we had heard good reports of the club we stayed in B&B Friday and sat and both evenings we went to Banus. My god, what a great time we had at Banus. The music and the DJ's were great. it was just like being at Maison here in Bournemouth. The club was tastefully decorated ( not like here in Bournemouth) we even got in free on the Sat night. Where else could we have spent such a great weekend we r definately coming back again soon . x x
  • finns is good
  • The Country Club at Evershot seems to have been wiped of the face of the earth, anyone know why? By all acounts it was a great venue but I never took the chance to visit :-)
  • NON ARE REALLY THAT GREAT IN WEYMOUTH-ALTHOUGH ITS WHAT U MAKE OF IT I RECKON, ALTHOUGH AVOID HARRYS AND RECTORY IS GETTING DULL!
  • DEFINATLY NOT DIRTY HARRYS!
  • HARRYS'S NIGHTCLUB - Harry's is the only place to go if you want a friendly relaxed atmosphere. They always have great promotions and play music to suite everyone. Despite it's bad reputation, Harry's doesn't have much troble at all these days and the Staff are all up for a giggle (Doormen included). If i go out on the razz, I always end up in Harrys. www.harrysweymouth.com
  • ok... the run down on weymouth clublife. *Banus - it's ok but only worth going if they have a high priced DJ on. *Harry's - All round good fun and nearly always busy. Golden Oldies downstairs & Everything else upstairs. *Metro (aka players) - The less mentioned about this place the better. *Rendezvous - lots of cocktails, good music, full of snobs. *Mariners/Verdis - The Home of the metal heads. Great fun if ya like that sorta thing. *2012 - More of a bar than a club, always good for a sunday late one (wink wink) but a little small for my liking. *Toad - High Prices & only busy on a tuesday night (Chick Night). *Yates's - Nice place to start, but kinda gets boring. *Goldfingers - aaah yes, the "Gentlemens Club". Strip club. Nuff Said. if it aint on the list then it probably aint worth mentioning.
  • Finns pub is great for those who have a taste in music however if you are unlucky to be musically retarded dont worry Harrys will cater for every need.
  • Good old harrys - usually the night spot for a saturday after drinbking and listening to Cj Renyolds in the old rectory and the toad. Always a bit of cheesey dance music for all the lads to 'rave it up' to. We'd go to scoffers for chips cheese and beans then where there was often a fight! bliss
  • rendezvous has recently had a makeover. Go to harry's if you like junk music and men that umm...bat for the other team?..But seriously go to Verdis for good music and live band nights
  • Players
  • Don't know how any of you can slag off Harry's ('club H', it makes it sound better), i lived in weymouth for about two years and woke up most mornings with an entry ticket in my pocket. It's a fun relaxed club which suffers from little trouble, We used to play a game where you would walk from the pool table down stairs up to the dj box upstairs and count how many women would grab your ass, the looser would by a round of very resonably priced turbo's! one tip though...it used to open it's doors at 9:30pm, go along and get a ticket as close to this as you can and then bugger off, get mashed else where and stagger back before 12:00, jump the line and feel like a popstar as the bouncers give you a cheery wave. it's wicked, enjoy!! -- ex goldcard member!
  • Banus Is Weymouth’s newest and nicest club, situated where the old Malibu club was (the only thing it has in common with it is its address). Now they are very picky on whom they let in (but this is to there credit) so get dressed up and don’t get too drunk before you go in. 3 rooms decorated in a bright trendy minimalist style. It’s like the best of Bournemouth or London but at a fraction of the price. http://www.banusclub.com/
  • Banus!!! Verdis!!! Rendezvous!! Love them all!!!
  • players is full of underage ppl but theyre all pretty much up for nething, ppl jip it off but then u see them in there. not bad prices either
  • I went to the Kiva last month for a 1stgeneration event, and I can't believe what a transformation these boys did to the place. I hardly recognised it ! Not only the main room but even the front bar was rocking too. The music was really good. Some really nice techno and breaks, but not just bang, bang all night long. There were loads of people there too. Can't wait for the next one. I think they do it once a month on the first Saturday or something like that.
  • Verdis is nice sometimes.
  • MOWLAM PARTYS...DONT THINK THERES ANYWHERE ELSE IN THIS ROYSTON VASEY STYLE TOWN
  • I know people really slag off Harry's, but I always had a really good time there, I used to be a regular about 3 years ago. I met some wicked people and the DJ's always used to play music you could boogie to!
  • Verdis, Still the best club to go if your slightly alternative, Thursday nights great music, punk, rok, hip hop, and of course Avril Lavinge (SHIT!!!) Fridays and Saturdays still good but they mostly play Drum and Bass
  • players new name is Metro and DV8 under new management chart and dance main floor second floor trance and house FRIDAYS drum and bass SATURDAYS 2k sound system dom demure top DJ drink promos
  • Malibu...hmmm can this be called a club??? more or less a matchbox witha toilet extension bigger than the dance floor
  • Players.....all floors...down stairs is great for the 70' nights.
  • Dorothy's is a bit of an old person's place but they did let ladies in free last time I was there. There's always rendevous.
  • All completely crap. The Country Club is the nearest happening place at Evershot or go to Bournemouth Anything alternative in Weymouth is not happening. Occassional Portland parties out in the quarries if you are lucky enough to find them
  • the buffs club, especially new year
  • There's no clubs in Weymouth - just dives
  • harrys for some chart/dance and golden oldies
  • we need to give some respect to the mecca- there is only one Mr Bigs. If you're hardcore and you really want that badgered on a weekday morning feeling, get down there for some real drinking behaviour, ('your my best mate you are,i really love you,'argue about the pool table)
  • Went to Weymouth, Delilahs now called Players, on the Esplanade - new owners, top music seem to be aiming at every audience / agegroup Goths on the top floor hip 70's and 80's in the Basement (dig the mirrors) pop etc in main bar friendly and top totty........starting to sound like I own the place.....seriously top night though.
  • Delilahs iis now called Players, and the alternative night thing is on a Saturday!!! Shades is now called The Kiva and its metal night is on a friday now... VERDIS IS WANK NOW!! ALL THE TIME!!!
  • Malibu is full of girls that are up for it. The rectory is good for a quick drink
  • To all those out there who have dissed Harry's, it may be a dive but at least you can be yourself especially on a night out with the girls.
  • Not sure what it's called but the best laugh is the pub that avoids the 'do we stay in the pub or go to a club' decision that ususally happens at around 10.30. Go to the Weymouth Arms and be nicce to the barcrew, particularly Rhiannon (which isn't difficult), and the Night Club comes to you!
  • hmm i'm a Verdi's girl but it's getting dull we need a shit hot DJ. Try bournmouth for wicked clubs and bristol iz sound aswell. Well the newest clubs here are shades, underground and alongside those the new pubstyle venues are the old rectory, the swan and the toad in the bank.
  • verdis is the friendliest and on Fridays has good music but saturdays are now quite clubby. Also in the summer there are quite a few 15 year olds who u keep tripping over!
  • Malibu,Harry's (Under 18 on wednesdays) um... thats it
  • The Malibu is the finest club for a quick and easy pull of the young and innocent! Mariners/Verdi's is where all the skateboarding chicks hang out with the pumpin' indoe music. Rendezvous - for those sophisticated types Hobgoblin - Well not really a club or a pub just a really nice place.
  • Here goes : Rendevous(ARSE), Malibu(ARSE), Verdis(used to be good, now ARSE), Harrys(ARSE). They all play the same old same old(dance, pop) Delilahs(Top floor plays rock & alternative, Friday) I haven't been anywhere else where I've been sober enough to remember what it was like!
  • You have got to try the "Hellfire Club" that meets at "Shades"in King St every Thursday. Alternative Music! Alternative clientel.
  • YOu can only go to Verdi's, it used to be a Saturday but now apparently now it's shit and plays dance on Saturdays. Try Friday nights but watch out for scary Becky, a slapper who thinks she's "alternative". (Apparently gives good blow jobs though).
  • Best thing about Weymouth: Verdi's night club. Friendly atmosphere, popular with locals. Live bands two or three times a week, local and not so local (recently The Bigger the God played).
