Pubs in Weymouth, Dorset*
The place to go for a lazy afternoon, pub quiz or last call
You can tell us more about Weymouth.
Pubs
- spoilt for choice, highest concentration of pubs per km2 in uk so I hear. The Boot in my opinion is probably the most authentic if not a bit on the dear side. On the plus side it tends to have lower concentrations of white trash dregs than most other places. Finns is a good venue for live music, again a little dear. The wspoons in the centre, where people tank up, can get very busy at the weekends. The sailors return just off commercial road is ok I guess. The George by the harbour is quite rough, full of proles, lowlifes and white trash crap.
- The Corner House on Portland. A real Pub.
- Duke of Cornwall on Friday and Saturday can't be beat
- Duke of Cornwall for a good cocktail, Finns for the rockers, Barracuda for your meeting place.
- THE NEW INN, LITTLEMOOR - Stay well away! This pub has been run into the ground since the new landlady took over a few months ago. The food is crap and the beer is warm. There's no nice bar staff to look at anymore, they've all been hoisted out to make way for blokes. The sooner the pub gets sold on again the better, it's no longer a family pub. It's on the top 5 list at Weymouth Police Station so that just about sums it up.
- the wellington arms on st alban street is a groovey little boozer with posibly the funniest barman in the world! Malc (the alc) god bless you guvner we love ya!
- Dolphin Ferrybridge on the way to fraggle
- Finns
The george
Ma Bakers for a nightcap
- FINNS
- finns,the george,the excise house
- Dorothy - full of old has beens from the 'Good old days'......
- Finns
- Weymouth Labour club in southview road! i have been going here for a while and i can now say its a really good place to go for a quiet family drink. If you want a drink away from the kids then there is a bar for over 18's there to. The drinks are very good price..
- The Prospect in Chapelhay is under new management and serves amazing portions of food! Go there-dispite it's locality!!
- Golden Lion - Cheesey music sexy door staff!!! I Bloody loves it i does!!!
- isobar - best bar in weymouth. Interesting people, who may show some semblance of culture (not likely to smack you for no reason). Beautifully decorated, nice atmosphere. Seems conveniently divided from the retarded town mentality by the bridge.
- I've been thrown out of 7 now.
- The Boot for original PUB atmosphere and NOT a young glue sniffers and scabby slapper place
- ITS ALL CRAP
- When I came back to visit summer 2001, I couldnt beleive how many new pubs there were. Loads more choice than when I used to live there!
- Fin Mcools (finners) Friendly staff, Good Live music, Best damn jukeox in town, Pool table and darts, what more do you need. Also friendly locals (like techno) to make you feel welcome
- Weymouth is fast turning into a Wetherspoons Factory. It's a real shame. The pubs are spanky and bright, and cheap, but sadly the punters are the same dodgy meatheads that beat each other up outside the nightclubs. If you are a fat bird, don't even think about going into any of these trendy pubs. You will get abuse hurled at you immediately. Sad but true. Instead, try the lovely Excise House, Kings Arms and Old Rooms round by the harbour. Classy, atmospheric, real, and great for live music.
- Lodmoor brewers fayre! great if u are sat on the beach needin to pop in to seee the sexy bar staff!
- The Black Dog, definitely a real pub, not one of these new fangled cafe-bar-foodie joints
- Market house the best locals drink here.
- There's that witherspoons one that has just opened over the bridge in what used to be John Menzies many moons ago. They'll be cheep because as a chain Witherspoons always are.
- The Weatherbury FREE HOUSE - sorry, you have to pay for your drinks!! But we're a friendly lot!
- o`malleys used to be the pub to go too especially for the kareoke on a tuesday night when those talented girls from THE CHERRIES used to sing! oh what beauties they all were !! gorgeous women each and everyone of them ! where are they now? come back girls we miss you !!!
- The Boot has a resident ghost and some fine draught ales and ciders down near the fire station.
Not a young persons pub
Lots of horrible plastic pubs that all look the same and sell the same alcohol to women all dressed the same and men with pitbull hair cuts
- I'd like the site to mention the sad Condor employees that wander around the pubs in there uniform drunk = just hideous...
- the royal oak on the quay -spit and sawdust!
- The Nothe Tavern - fab food and bar billiards!
- For those of you who prefer the newer style pubs check out the Old Rectory in St Thomas Street. Their music is farely up to date and you don't always feel as if some dirty git's hands are up your skirt because it is so cramped! There is always at least a corner where you and your mates can strut their stuff!
- Far too many good ones to mention, Weymouth Arms a good fun spot, the Kings Arms very atmospheric with comfy sofa's. The rest are all a bit of a blur!
- old rectory rocks az does toad in bank, white heart, marriners(my fave)
- The Dorothy inn again great atmosphere at night...even if u are only working there!!!!
- If you went on a pub crawl in Weymouth, you would be dead by the morning!
- Delilahs, The Black Dog, Mariners(all in town)
The New Inn(out of town, but good beer!)
The best pubs have been closed down or re-opened as "Fun pub discos".
Old cool pubs included - The Town Crier, O'Flannigans(all gone now*sob*)
- Mariners, and The Kings arms has the comfiest seats EVER. If you go to the new Weathersp[oons be friendly to the staff because I worked there in the summer and the wankers annoyed me.
- Duke of Cornwall, Friday & Saturday nights...so packed you can lift your feet off the floor and not fall down. Mixed age croud. Sinatra, 50's & 60's full blast.
- The Admiral Hardy on Chickerell Road has great meals and a wonderful atmosphere to enjoy a pint. In the summer there is a great patio where you can sit under an umbrella and ponder the day.
- The Dorothy Inn-good friendly service, good food, lots of real ale.
- Loads of good, friendly pubs (but better if you are local, or can get in out of tourist season) including O'Malleys, Weymouth Ale House, Kings Arms, Golden Lion. Real character her (and characters!) Avoid like the plague: The Mariner (unless you like being hounded out for ordering drinks 5 minutes before 11 pm)
