Record Shops
  • there is no good record shop in weymouth anymore! even m.v.c has run away! i think good ol' tony reed keeps a few gooduns in the bowels of his shop on great gearge street.
  • wollies is crap there was an MVC that was crap and shutting down so bascially there is no good record shops in weymouth
  • MVC..great sale
  • Paz 49 st Mary's Street. Alternative music for all ages. Pricey. World Fusion, Drum n Bass, Techno and loads of chillout music. Great smell of incense aswell.
  • The newest record shop in Weymouth is Reaction Records. They sell a really good selection of Hard Dance, Drum and Bass, House and Breakz all on 12inch Vinly and the're cheaper than "Chunes". They're in Gloucester Street, next door to the OLD cinema. website - www.reaction-records.co.uk
  • Tom Mowlams of chickerell specialise in metal/grindcore stuff
  • mvc i guess and Chunes in the back streets for your drum and bass and dance stuff.
  • PAZ 49 St. Marys Street for alternative music.Drum n Bass. Techno. World fusion a large collection. A bit pricey but worth it.
  • mvc is the best place in weymouth for cd's
  • That local record shop called "downloading anything off the web". Because you can't get anything decent in Weymouth, especially for free!
  • Weymouth Traders have tons of old vinyl.
  • Paz, alternative music
  • MVC, cheap cheap cheap and all the staff have funky hair
  • Mvc is the best choice in weymouth, or you could try upstairs in wh smith or woolies for chart music, MVC's Rock back-cat is getting bigger tho.
  • MVC seems to be the only decent place, now that poor old Parrot Records have been chased out of town, and replaced by a heavyweight of cashew nuts.
  • what record shops! bring back falcon records and their quaint knack of fitting every cd/cassete/video(wrestling only) ever produced in the tiny shop!
  • Wilkinsons, only have them in the south.....great bargins.
  • fm music has shut down now. its is now a weird health food shop.
  • tunes where Peter Singe Works go there for some pumpin house
  • Take a look at St Alban street. Here you will find a treasure of little shops selling everything from cheap tacky souvinirs and the traditional two shops where everyone rushes every New Year's eve to collect their fancy costumes, to second hand clothes and half price designer wear.
  • This is weymouth...try bournmouth or something... much better
  • Tunes...its really cool for club and house tunes...!!!
  • Weymouth has its special brand of "Record" shops and these tend to be of the Charity variety. You can buy the greatest hits from Cliff Richard (1967 edition) for a mere 50p, and don't forget folks, it all goes to charity and helping the needy!
  • Falcon records has been replaced by FM music and has absolutely no music of interest or note, unless you are a dead head raver/dance numpty or are into kiddy pop. I get my CDs via mail order now or when I visit London... The only other places where you can get CDs is WHSmith oh, and Austins on the sea front, but they haven't got much of a selection either...(sigh).
  • There used to be a really cool shop that sold second hand cds but THEY shut it down.
  • Hansome Dicks (sadly gone).
