Skateboarding Spots
- Radipole Skate Park, there is also some little ledges in the park, Pharmacy Ledge, also known as Double Curb or Big Curb, Lidl has a nice waxed ledge and a curb, also can use it as a manual pad. Morrisons is good for just cruising around the big car park and there is some little gaps and manual pads, don't go in the day though, you get kicked off after about 1 trick. The subway across from Morrisons has some nice ledges and a huge stair set if your that good. Wey Valley School has some nice ledges. Budmouth School has a 2 set, 5 set, 6 set and some manual pads. There is some stairs sets and ledges at the Nothe. The Front obviously is good, need to be a member though, £10 for lifetime then it's £2 for 2 hours. There is a 5 set across from there, in the little kids park thing, when there's no water in the pool you could skate the ledge. A big flat bank there also but has a curb at the bottom which could be tricky to get over from the bank. Pavillion has some quaters, before careful though as it's cobbled and quite hard to skate. There is also a ledge right at the back of the car park. Slipway has a nice ledge, there is also a little gap there. Next to the council building is a nice flat bank. Just up from there there's 3 4 sets in a room, would make a nice line but don't go 2 fast. Also there is a 7 set there. Swannery car park has some little rails and it's good for just cruising around doing manuals. Behind Aldi there is a nice waxed curb and a little manual pad, there is usually some crates and stuff there to make things out of aswell.

- The slipway is a good skate spot across the road from the multi story car park
- check it out!
- there is now a little street course down radipole park. 6 foot quaarter pipe to fun box to 6 foot flat bank all metal, could do with being wider for those like me with a longer board but great if you flip a lolipop stick
- The front on preston road a skate park for passing of drugs on occasion but police camera is going up opposite soon.
- MARSHALLSEY ROAD IN CHICKERELL, ITS FUNNY CAUSE THIS OLD WOMAN CAN TELL IF THERE IS ANYONE SKATEBOARDING OUTSIDE HER HOUSE EVEN IF YOUR A MILE OFF AND TIP-TOEING
- Those steps outside the trainstation and those outside Sids Arcade
- Heheh.. Aight Asterix.. 8P Noob indeed.. *tsk!*.. ;)
- The SK8 park at Lodmore is improvin every all the time. Although removed the fun box they have actually repositioned it in a much better position. Good transitions & well thought out verts from 3'& 5' single combo to 12' to 9' in a "U" this also includes a 6' spine adjoining it. It keeps gettin better there so although you've gotta pay for a session with yearly membership(unlike Peterborough which is lifetime ) it does reduce the entrance fee. 4 not so hotties like me!!! its a gr8 place 2 sk8..... with everybody cool n no harsh words for the oldies relivin their youth(!!!) its a fun place 2 chill...
- OMG TCR, I just knew you would have posted here, get back to Bristol you n00b skater!! Get some big wheels and skate the pavilion banks, they rule the world!! (Are they still there??) OR emigrate to Stratford-upon-Avon where it seems the whole town was designed for skateboards (maybe that should be on another page but then who cares...) And if you see Chizzy, punch him from me!!!
- In your Weymouth Dorset entry it says 'August 2001, half pipe on hill at end of Maiden Castle Road still out of action but Council notice says to be repaired soon' - (1) the half pipe is repaired and was working Easter 2002. (2) This entry relates to Dorchester not Weymouth
- The front - new skateboard park, now open and doing good business. You have to pay though......................
- Excellent skate facilities at Preston new facility for bikes and skaters
People have been nicked for skating on the esplanade and cycling on it
- Huge and good skatepark now open near SeaLife Centre, East of town. Pay for sessions but reasonable value - season tickets too. Beginners sessions at 4pm (bit roped off). Some nights just skate or deck or BMX. Tourist Info place has current details.
- August 2001, half pipe on hill at end of Maiden Castle Road still out of action but Council notice says to be repaired soon
- town clock
- NOAH'S, THE CLOCK(ON THE SEA FRONT) THERE'S A WICKED LEDGE ON THE MARRINA, RAILWAY STATION, MUNICIPAL OFFICES CAR PARK, SUBWAY STEPS, EASTON ON THE ROCK ( PORTLAND)
- If you r a pro then there are plenty of stairs and stuff but if like me you are a lowly amatuer then there is little
- Loads o' spots. Mad seven or eight set by the town bridge, super slick rubber bench in the tennis courts (Greenhill), phat seven set near the entrance. Sandsfoot castle, a nice little double-set (with ledges) + one huge set also with slidable ledge. Nothe Gardens, interesting combo's available with benches / furniture from resturaunt to road. Brewers Quay, two carparks - one with gap ollie from carpark to road.. One with large wall ollie to drop. Sick town. Visit & HookUp. Big Scene Here. 8)
- swansans car park and the clock
- The Jubilee clock around the Train Station and Safeway - but they get pissed off about it!
- The whole town is ruled by skateboarders, rollerbladers and cyclists, the council are always moaning about 'em
on the Esplanade. (These Days I just read "Thrasher" and dream about the 80's...)
- Only the Jubilee Clock. Ask for Butch, Vorn, and Tom and tell them "Hi" from me.
- There are loads of places 2 skate in weymouth, you dont have to go far to find
some slideable walls etc. I like Overcombe corner
- there is now this skateboarders park located at the lodmoor opposite the esplanade and believe it or not right next door to a pub. Cyclists now have a cycle lane along the esplanade instead of actually cycling on the esplanade.
- Car park next to Noah's Ark Amusements: flat-land area, loads of waxed curbs, islands and a very long bank with a curb backed on to it. Sea Front: flower beds, loads of flat, and benches. Crumbles' mini-ramp: private, but if you manage to meet up with Crumble you may be able to have a go. 10' wide, 3' high. Ace laugh. Loads of hidden extras. Just ask around. Town Centre: loads of steps and benches. Meet at Noahs or sea front Best time: Saturdays and Sunday before 2pm.
- Good news! Apparently a new skate park is going to be built on the outskirts of the town, within skating distance from the train and bus stations!!!
