The Stuff We Can't Fit In Somewhere Else
  • what are you all winging about the place is beautiful the only probloem is some of the locals need to get out of dorset a bit rather than slag people like us who spenfd good money down there and pay our council taxe ven though its our second home
  • LACK OF HOT CHICKS
  • Weymouth is an out of date, tacky seaside resort full of drunks and drug dealers. It's biggest selling point is probably their football club that they call the terras. This club spends what it doesn't have, resulting in AT LEAST 20 11th hours in the last few years. Take my advise, seek a nice place for your holiday, a place where you won't be beaten up by some weymouther on drugs or some portlander thinking you're a weymouther
  • great seaside views in all the hotels.
  • trevor stimpson
  • I wish I found this site before I booked an holiday in Weymouth, some of the comments about tourists as really put me off, so much as I may forego my depsit and book somewhere else.
  • the gala bingo is where a lot of young people go now
  • Weymouth is soon becoming Bognor Regis..god save us.
  • If the sun's not shining but you want to get a tan there's a brilliant tanning salon in the Colwell Centre. He's got the best sunbeds, knows what he's talking about and he's the cheapest in town. Best of all it's tucked away at the back so your mates can't see you sneaking in and out!!!
  • Win's my best town in the world award. Also a mention of the man that walks round town shouting random facts, like "The Queen mother has died", at totally inappropiate moments, like when in tesco.
  • Having lived all over England....would'nt live any where else but Weymouth.
  • Someone has mentioned the Trawler Race on this site but it has now finished unless they can find a new sponser which is unlikely so that wont be happening next year. Sorry.
  • We are a nice bunch of people here in sunny Weymouth - come and visit, but park outa town!!!
  • HMMM i SUGGEST A GREAT PLACE TO TRAVEL TO TO GET AWAY FROM HERE IZ FLAT SPOT IN PLYMOUTH OR LITTLE LOYDS IN BRISTOL
  • Weymouth has several outlying suburbs and some of these MUST be avoided at all costs! These are Littlemoor, Portland, Westham, Chickerell, Upwey, Southill, Preston and above all the county town of Dorchester!
  • People are friendly but its difficult to break in. Once your there they'd do anythng for you, but watch out for the nutters, it being the end of the railway line, everyone's a bit mad in one way or another.
  • Surf shops- Second Wind - Good, my friends family run it but it is genuinley good! Underground Surf - Slighlty different kind of stock to second wind but (less windsurfing stuff) but good enough
  • I loved walking through the cemetary on the corner of Chickerell and Abbotsbury Road.
  • there is the all new town centre with better shopping facilities and also better parking as there are now 4 or 5 car parks and also a better bus service with a new company now running the services for the local region
  • "New Age" type centres - 2 in Weymouth. The Bridge Centre opposite the main Town Bridge (the one that opens to let the boats go out to sea) and the Awareness Centre in Park Street. Both are pretty low key, but they are run by lovely people. The Awareness Centre is more of a spiritualist type place whilst the Bridge Centre offers a range of holistic therapies and occasional talks.
