Local Bands
- A great band called `second time around` played at the Harvest Home last thursday, the drummer was a whitchurch local with some guys from basingstoke . They played some very enthusiastic rock and rock n roll music and sounded really good with a mental frontman whose sense of humour and social comment/witticisms made us laugh . They are playing there on new years eve which should be a really good night .
- there was a band called gravity but they split and now the drummer mark is releasing a single! cant remember what the new band is called though. buy it in hmv!!
- Polyroket:
A great new 5-piece local rock band. Saw them at the Harvest Home and the Kings Arms a couple of days ago, Great band. Female Aussie singer with a great voice, some v.cool guitar riffage, this band Kick !!. Original Material as well which, I have to admit, I sing along to now !! 'Fire', 'Cold' and 'Room to Breathe' really cool tunes.
Darren & Martin:
Guitar duo playing covers from 50's to present. Great harmonies on the vocals and they're good fun to watch as well.
BluesHog:
The local blues outfit. V.cool. Saw them at the Harvest Home and the sound was great. V. Chilled blues rising into some impresive instrumentals. These guys play really tight.
