IF ANYONE ONE WHO READS THIS TELL THE HENSINGHAM SWELL HEADS ITS FROM THE WORKINGTON GIRLS THEY KNOW WHO WE ARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- skateboarding rules.
- to put the record straight the Whitehaven ppl started to take jam sandwiches down the mines b4 the workington lot did
- Beware, all ye of little marra knowledge. The dwarf interbred Hodgson family from Herdus Rd Mirehouse are on the look out for unsuspecting poor B*****D's to father kids. this offer is exclusive to close relatives only.
- i would hust like to add that uv spelt the name of this town wrong. It is actually known as SHITEHAVEN.
- please add info on carer and toddler groups we need a life too!
theres not many around and some are really clicky, but a brill one is childs play at st marys, kells on tuesday 1-3pm
- Hello from Whitehaven, it is very boreing and the only activity to do around this area is go to the pub.
- Visit Whitehaven and you will find out why the residents are
rightfully known as "Jam-Eaters"
- The Beacon Museum down by the docks is worth a look, outlining Whitehaven's actually-very-interesting history, and its actually-very-sad decline from major shipping/mining/rugby league town to its present state of ambivalent local dependence on BNFL. There are two Whitehaven VCs in there, but you have to look for them, which is a shame.
- the poor local dialect- Thou is you, marra is mate and wheres the fray? is where are you from( be carefull how you answer this one!)
- I lived in whitehaven for years and enjoyed being there. Like anywhere it's what you make it. Now I've moved away though I realise it has very little to offer.
- Nobody belives I am Norwegian!
- Whitehaven is boring; I look forward to going home there from uni but when I get there the realisation hits me that I am going to be bored out of my skull for at least 4 weeks- it really is that 'ennuyeux' as the french would say.
- Newsagents Go to Nolans Newsagents in Hensingham Square for freindly and quality service Somebody built the police station backwards, they had the plans the wrong way round
- it really is an absolutely fantastic night out - especially when Sellafield is on happy friday
- Visit Whitehaven for a short break to soak up its history and atmosphere
- The funniest thing? If one can call it that. The exterior of a travel company near the harbour, the paint is falling of the walls we did film it but I am sorry I did not take a picture of the exterior it's one for the books I tell you.
- Whitehaven:
Has a multi storey car park to jump off. - The pubs shut at 11 pm
- All men wear regulation white shirts
- All women wear less
- Every time you return back to Whitehaven every thing seems to have shrunken by about two feet. So that it has now got to the stage where the place resembles its true status: "NOTHING".
- I love whitehaven having lived there for a few years - my parents still do - but its still waiting for the people to realise they should be proud of it. Many of the local people have low incomes and low self esteem; they also have snarling dogs which foul the pavements too frequently. It's got great potential but needs more than BNFL and their polution or the chemical works and its polution to bring it back to life. Hopefully the business park on the edge of town will help.
