- Donatella Versace had to land at Wick Airport to get to Madonna's wedding to Guy Ritchie.
- Philip Schofield was married in Ackergill Tower (used to have his hand up Gordon the gopher)
- Recently we have had lots of streeet entertainment organised by Lythe Arts peopel and the council Leisure dept. Some of it has been incredible. bands from Canada and elsewhere. Went down really well. Loads of stuff coming for the Millennium - Hogmanay will not leave much room for Skateboarding round the Market Square as it will be packed with revellers. Many old faces are expected back.
- Aileen Mowat off the Scottish Blend ad, and Taggart - she's from Wick.
Isla Sinclair's parents used to live here.
