• bakers oven and essex kebas
• essex kebabs on the broadway. decent kebabs, dnt look like they've already passed through someone once, and taste gorgeous. and the Marco Polo indian restaurant is the best indian restaurant iv ever eaten in. the food is absolutely delicious, and actually has flavour to it rather than being so spicy u cant taste a thing.
• The Swan does a cracking lunch, and don't forget the tent on the train station platform...best morning coffee anywhere
• Can't recall the name, but the Chinese restaurant on the Broadway is excellent. Not *that* cheap, but still really good. Be warned though, it gets really rammed of a Friday & Saturday, but the staff seem willing to go that extra yard to find space for you, even if that means you're so intimate with the next table you're swapping chopsticks !

• The greek resturant is like literally stepping into greece. The food truely is out of this world. As is the jade palace for oriental food.
• Wimpys for those fab burgers 'n' stuff...the couple that do rolls and stuff on the london-bound platform at the station.
• Dominos Pizza. They have poisened me on more than one occasion with their festering dough, and unhygenic practices.

• pisces is the nicest greek resturant ever. Its like steppin in2 greece when u go there. It doesn't look much from the outside, just looks like a chippy, but at the bk of the shop, its out of this world. The jade palace is also very very good for chinese food.
• Now Abi's near the train station is the place to go for great food and takeaways the burgers are ..... well if you go there you see what i mean

• The best Greek food in Essex is served - somewhat bizarrely - at the back of the Pisces fish & chip shop in the Broadway. The Taverna is only open on Friday and Saturday evenings - you'll definiteky need to book for Saturday.
• Wimpy's for nice burgers, Chinese and Indian available on the high street
• There is a v good Indian Takeaway up the Southend Road, next to the Sorting Office.
• Chinese, Greek, Indian, Caribbean, Fish 'n' Chips, Kebabs... even a Wimpy!
