There's a motorbike place in Hyde called Alan Lear. Apparently people used to call him Slash Lear because he always needs the toilet. That might not be true but it's what I heard.
Hargroves Cycles aint so helpful/clued up/nice/cheap as all that... If you can face the ride up romsey road then go to Hansford Cycles in Olivers Battery. Better everything.
Peter Hargroves cycles on the corner of city road is a 'unpowered cycle' shop. very good for moutain bike stuff but not the cheapest place around. they tried to branch out into BMX stuff but failed miserably (much to my an my mates dismay!) if you want mbx stuff your best mail ordering it or going down to off beat sportz in southampton where they hve a resident BMXer called james who's well helpfull.

theres a few good bikes who work behind the bar at the mash tun
Hargreaves cycles - very good, Halfords at the bottom of town is Ok and there's a big Halfords shop in Winnal near Tescos, cycle accesories from Air, Land and Sea.
Hargreaves (mountain bike) is ok but it is always shut.
