Skateboarding Spots
  • at the old intech up by Kings' school go on a saturday or sunday the staff aint there :) i lved there a year ago and still go there
  • Definatly check out the canned underpark. if you go up to the top of st giles hill onto the look out platform, climb over the railings onto the hill and go under the platform. theres a trap door that should be fairly uncovered. go down and enjoy, a series of boxs and bowls to skate, lighting is advised. you can get some crazy speed down the tunnel though, good shit. check it out. don't get caught.
  • Chesil street carpark smooth ground at the top and loads of flatbanks/slopes gring a portabal rail or ledge to make things intresting
  • libary 4 set aint a bad place to go. uh and round about the hospital-nice ledge by a+e. big gap which goes onto the main road -by the garden center- i cant remember the name of it- thats by a+e as well.
  • The Winch Skate Park. Behind the River Park Leisure Centre.
  • We used skate in Winch about 7 or 8 years ago, i found an old video clip we made. You can download it from here http://www.freewebs.com/attenborough/clip.wmv you might even spot the notorious Molynator.
  • the skate park behind the rec centre, loadsa cool graf art there too.
  • There's a park near the River Park Leisure Centre. It has some good graf too, which the council paints iver every so often (much to the annoyance of many who think it's a right waste of money)
  • Find a place called intech near stanmore. Stay away from stanmore park. Intek has a lot to skate, do-able rail down 6 set, 8 set, manual block to 2ft drop.......a frew other bits and bobs but when you get bored there go up the hill to the arts centre and school (singnposted) there's a dodgy car park with flatbanks with subboxes on all raound the outside of the carpark, it's hard to skate but a bit of fun. then in the school there is a load of stuff to do, benches, some gap over amptheatre type thing onto a big block, loads of wooden ledges, one is after a curb then 3 set........ it's worth finding it.......
  • Cattle market 12 set. HUge, clean with a smooth run up and landing........ I tried em and failed. My friend tried them and landed them. Then the winch boys decided that they'd done them too because they do things like that, make stuff up to make themselves look better.............................................They admitted when drunk to someone I know that they hadnt actually done them at all even though they said they had......I'm not making it up which is why I'm so pissed of about it. Those steps belong to Andover- Sorry boys!
  • There is a new park in winch but I can't rememebr where it is, if you go past the mash tun pub and then straight up the road, left at the next roundabout and then take your 2nd left and go striaght ahead at the next corner you coenm to, the park should be on your right. Dodgy mini, dodgy driveway/pyramid with a tiny top and box down it. Dodgy tiny spine, dodgy tiny roll in......... Dodgy. Another crappy park for winchester........
  • Chandlers Ford Precinct, Intech, Soton, Barcelona
  • The spots in Winch are all underground, literally. About ten months ago Giles from CANED CLOTHING buried his way under the whole town (due to his his frustration of the lack of skatespots) and constructed a whole network of skatespots. If you don't believe me just pop into CANED and ask them about it. They might even sell you a candle to light the spots up with!!!!
  • K you'll have hunt for this one but its stanmore skatepark not sure where abouts it is but if you go into bus statino and ask for which bus to catch then you'll find it. Its concrete and fucking awsome aparently, just ask people in stanmore where it is, its about as far as badger farm in comparision to distance from winch.
  • A good little place tp explore is around the hospital (well nice stairsets) and around the cinema if you want some rare once in a lifetime little gaps to try.
  • go to Southampton.
  • skate park at the leisure centre...thats the only place i can think of
  • Erm..Updated on....it must be....October 8th 2002. There IS a skate park in winchester at River Park, well behind river park. Half pipe, erm, cannot say specifics but 2big rampy things, one double ramp which is half tall and half smaller, a island in the midle with a grind rail, and various bits and pieces of bathtubs and boxes which people have crafted because they can already do everything. Also plenty of young girls watching everyone, if you like an audience.
  • The old Intech up by Kings School has tonnes of stuff like ledges, stairs, flatbanks an' all the rest of it for you to skate.SKATE STREET 4EVA!
  • theres a shitty skate park thing round the back of the riverpark, but well, its pretty shitty. theres plenty of parks in the area though, go to soton.
  • there's a halfpipe near river park leisure center..i've never been myself but i'm told it's a bit poor really. the rumors ARE true, they banned skating at peter symonds, you get a week's litter picking or something if you get caught, haha.
  • Skate park is good ish although made of lethal metal!. numerous carparks, being a bmxer i can't comment on skate spots, but i'm sure there are some if you look.
  • new skatepark at the leisure centre, another little new park in stanmore rec, but watch out for stupid mohawk clad kevs and fearless cheeky little kids. go in to caned clothing to hook up with skaters.
  • It's flooded
  • Wicked load of ramps in North Walls Park.
  • Winch is dope. If you're a pussy then Winch sucks but if your a skateboarder who skates then it is actualy ok. It's kind of like the zoo, you have to skate around to find cool stuff to skate. That's what skating is, isn't it? Anyway Peter Symonds College is a rad place to skate with lots of steps and and stuff.
  • Used to be a skate-park in River Park at the beginning of the nineties, but that's now gone. Back to the streets, I guess. There are practically no skaters in Winchester - there's no scene anyway. There is some nice flat-land by the museum thing with King Arthurs round table in it, and there are some interesting benches by the Brooks shopping mall. There are some nice kerbs by the River Park Leisure Centre and also in a residential apartment area at the top of town (but be prepared to be thrown off within five minutes). Look around and you should find something - as always though, its best to skate on a Sunday and away from the tourists in the main precinct.
  • records office is full of bit, one stop/les smiths car park is gorgeous tarmac and sloped...... peter symonds was cool but skating is now banned (ahaahaha thall stop us)
  • Shitty half pipe at the rec centre, yeah!
  • Loads of car parks to be chucked out of.
