- The Greyhound public house is probably the only venue for live music in Wivenhoe. Usually a blend of Folk music is to be heard here, to satisfy the aging hippie clientel . Most gig lovers head to Colchester Arts Centre or the University of Essex just down the road.
- As mentioned the Station on Sundays in Summer. The Greyhound does a folk night every 1st Thursday in the Month - they have some pretty good guests as well as accomplished local musos. Colchester Arts Centre has folk gigs on Monday and Rock on Wednesdays as well as an array of experimental and world music. Also the quay comes alive one Sunday in July to the sound of New Orleans jazz.
