• sports fans will give this place a miss thats unless you count sniffing glue as a sport
• There use to be a non-league side that was a one point in the early 1990's only six divisions below the football league, they once play Scarbrough in a friendly during the era losing 8-0 at Wombwell FC football ground.
• Plenty of local pub football teams, but sadly no future Manchester Utd or Juventus stars, just local run of the mill rough local guys.
