• i just want to say whoever wrote that rubbish about wombell been a hook up place with sex offendors and an horrible place to live ur talking a load of crap! wombell is just like anyb other place, iv lived here all my life 17 years, school is great, people are friendly we are not outsiders so shut up and dont write what you dont know the facts on.
• CAN I JUST STATE THAT THE SO CALLED 'INTELLIGENT PEOPLE' THAT HAVE LEFT NOTES ON THIS SITE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO SPELL ESPECIALLY THE ONE WITH THE MODEL SHOP AND ALL HIS DEGREES. HE OUGHT TO F**K OFF BACK TO WHERE HE CAME FROM BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT WOMBWELL PEOPLE DONT LIKE "PIG IGNORANT F******G KNOW IT ALLS" THAT THINK THEY ARE IT. GET A LIFE AND LEARN HOW TO SPELL LIKE ALL US THICK MANUAL WORKERS THAT USED TO WORK AT PERFECTA BEDS!!! AT LEAST WE COME FROM HERE AND KNOW OUR LANGUAGE AND HOW TO SPELL. AND ONE LAST WORD, WE DO NOT DISLIKE ANYONE WHO IS RIGHT WITH US, ALL WE DO IS TAKE THEM UNDER OUR WING. THAT IS WOMBWELL PEOPLE ONCE AND FOR ALL. THICK B******S . I DONT THINK SO!!!
• Yes Wombwell is a shit hole but if tight aresed politions would try and give somthing back to workers who provide to the countrys wealth instead of licking the buts of the southern countys it minght be so bad.
• although there are a lot of reasons not to live in wombwell i must stick up for about 10% of the people here. there are a lot of decent people who live in wombwell that do manual work just to earn a living and support their families. i would rather do a manual job and still have time for my children than have a job where all i did was work but no play. besides if no one did manual work who would make all the things nice things for the posh people to buy. so remember all you manual worker haters you might be higher up the employment ladder but you still need us common folk to make things for you and do the jobs that are vital to keep your lives running smoothly
• all in all wombwell is not a bad place.its good enough for my kids to grow up in and make millions.
• To the others who have submitted a Wombwell review - no its not the cultural capital of the north,yes there are racist bigots but none of you sound that educated no matter what you claim. Wombwell is full of working class people many who have struggled hard to make ends meet through dark times. An inspiration not a source of shame. On the whole the people are friendly and love to party albeit in an unsophisticated manner
• Unless you are forced to visit Wombwell for employment reasons, I advise you to stay away, you are not missing anything great, there are a lot better places around to spend your time. The nighlife is crap unless you are one of the locals, who will look at you funny anyway when you walk in the pubs. Nobody of any great importance every came from Wombwell.

• To get on in this town you need to be thick, have no qualifications, people get tema leader jods, who leave school at 16, whilst graduates cannot get jobs, this place is an inslut to people with qualifications.
• George Leek was the compare at the Futurist. Harry Worth played there as part of the "Tonight in Town" reviews on Sunday nights.
