- the only place to go for a morning fry up has gotta be the river cafe, it's the river side of the station and it rocks, tho' the grumpy couple that own it aren't so good. it's an old railway carriage and it's a lovely place to sit and watch the world go by. and they've even got a bowl for doggy water, perfect!
- Whistlestop in the old Station waiting room is a nostalgic setting.
Upstairs//Downstairs has a good tea rooms with brilliant Lemon Drizzle Cake, at No.1 Teashop upstairs at no.1 Thoroughfare
