- The greatest ever Briton, John Winston Lennon - they've just unveiled a blue plaque on his house in Menlove Avenue. His first band were "the Quarrymen" as they played in Quarry Street.
- errrr im thinking John Lennon is quite a big one to have come from woolton, he lived on menlove avenue ( i think there is now a plaque there on the house) also his first band played in St Peters Church on church road.
- Simon (used to play Damon Grant in Brookside) lives in Woolton. Jimmy Corkhill used to live here. Various footballers are said to have lived here (Paul Ince amongst others). Minor celebrities from Hollyoaks and Brookside are often spotted in Sainsbury's.
