- Close to Allerton where there is more choice of bars, shops etc. There are two supermarkets in Woolton (Tesco and Sainsburys).
Lots of Beatle history. Strawberry Fields is a few minutes walk, Eleanor Rigby is buried in the local cemetery. John Lennon's band (the Quarry Men) used to practice in Quarry Street. John Lennon was born in Woolton.
