  • There was a cinema with about 4 shops, piss poor effort!. How somebody could say you could spend the day here ffs.

  • its a little bit out bout a mile but its well worth it its got a wimpy and select and bay so u can spend mostly all day in there and some french spot to eat in and a caf and some bedding clothes for older people and beds and furniture aswell its a very big spot!

  • the cinema venue has improved since a few yrs bak wen it was in town with 2 screens, its now in dunmail park its called 'the plaza' its sumfing to do on a friday wen the pubs are crap!

  • The only local cinema is the plaza cinema in dunmail park, its about 15-20 minutes to walk there from town, its got 6 screens and its pretty good

  • It was class. tweo screens. wait a week or three to see the new release and if you manage to see it earlier brag about it...or go all the way to Carlisle to watch a film....
  • Plaza, our multiplex, HAHAA u jameaters dont have a cinemas (whitehaven)
  • The Dunmail Park multiscreen is great and there is a fantastic car park where we can break into cars and TWOC the goodies left in them.

  • The new Plaza is excellent. And the manageress in there is goddamned gorgeous!

  • the cinema's pretty cool.....& we have a bowling alley.....but the thing is,,,,they're both way way way out of town.....the bowling alley is too expensive for what it is....the staff dont exactly give u that feeling that u wanna be there & enjoy yourself either

  • Now we got the multi-screen at Dunmail Park. Better then the old one, but 2 miles out of town!! TAXI!!!!!!!

  • New 6 screen cinema, fairly decent. Rendezvous is being torn down to become a wetherspoons pub, the only pub chain to have no music and no live sport...will it work in this town, duh-duh!
  • The new Plaza multiplex has opened at Dunmail Park and its well worth a visit. Sad to see the Rendezvous go, but there's a bigger choice of films at the Plaza and its loads more comfortable. Still run by the same local firm as well so its not like a big company have taken business away from the Rendezvous.

  • Workington has a twin cinema which is good, there is alot of the latest films played here, unlike whitehaven (jam eaters) we also have a bowling alleys which is cool on the rare occassion, good for kiddies parties

  • Plans are being drawn up for a 6-screen miniplex cinema to be built out of town on the in the Dunmail Park Shopping Centre.
