- butterflies is da nicest in workington no doubt about it propa nice food and surroundings wat mor can ya ask for
- Coffee shops, well there is the washington. But watch out for being dragged into a bitchfest between staff and the blue rinses.

- Well theres costa right in the town center but its well known and really deer, but just a 2 minute walk round the corner theres a coffee shop just as good called Jays Coffee Shop which is cheaper. (i went into costa for a bottle of coke - 2.10 in there - a couple of minutes walk round to Jays - got a bottle of coke for .90 pence and got served straight away)

- Costa is a rip-off, but very nice. Carnegie stinks.
- The Coffee Works, near the bike bank is really nice, its really modern too, and definately worth checking out, the washington is nice too

- every cafe i've been in all have rude nasty staff....i've heard some nasty shit that happens in mc'donalds too....like people spitting in burgers & people goin to the toilet & not washing their hands after a shit or a piss......& not throwing food out when they're supposed to

- left there in 1963...but grew up drinking horlicks at toggies and listening to the juke box after school ..it was a great place and they were very patient with grammar school teenagers
- Treats of workington is the best cafe in workington, trust me i work there,
its open to all ages not just the oldies or families but for kids too!!!

- Co-op cafe was a good un before it was modernised and the prices went up. Toggies is as old as mal bishops underwear
- Pat-A-Cake on Station Road has lovely, friendly staff who will be only too keen to butter your baps.
- Cafes and Cofee Shops suggest a certain amount of culture; the only culture in Workington is in the yoghurt pots in Safeways.

- Tognarellies (Toggies) is the best you'll find...and that has nothing to do with the fact that I work there!!!
