• Many of the towns promising young lads play for the Zebras Rugby Club. Barry Earl, Adrian Dakers and Gary Hodgson are a few of these. However having said this i think i should warn you of a few things. One of them is a MALE SLAG yes you know who you are. • Restaurants-Nikki's-owned by the bruno family, true italian restaurant, i recomend u to go there,friendly service. Oscars-very tasty food, italian Cockatoo-excellent cuisine, tad pricey though, u can actaully get ostrich there. Trout-very pricey, i stongly recomend the boxing day lunch, we go there every year

• Workington is a coastal town with a harbour and pier, being very popular for sea fishing
• Workington Reds are the towns football team in the Northern Premiere Division 1
• Workington Town is the Rugby League team, who are well supported and are a member of the new Rugby League Super League.

• The best thing about Workington is Poundstretcher. The worst thing about it is the fact you can't buy anything except corned beef. The station is also crap as is EVERYTHING else about the town - once you are there you can't get out!
