You can tell us more about Worksop.

- PLENTY OF TAKE AWAYS AND CAFES, MOSTLEY AVERAGE FOOD ON A SMALL BUDGET.
ABOVE EYRES THE FURNITURE SHOP AT THE TOP OF BRIDGE STREET THERE IS A SUPERB TEA SHOP AND HOME MADE COOKED FOOD RESTAURANT CALLED MISS POPPIES. THIS PLACE IS THE HIDDEN JEWEL OF WORKSOP. MOST RIF RAFF PEOPLE OF WORKSOP HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS GREAT EATING PLACE. (THANK GOD) SO NO IDIOTS OF THIS TOWN NEVER FREQUENT THIS BEAUTIFUL PLACE.

- Licquorice Gardens - class food at decent prices
- topkapi and florentinos
- McDonald's is always a nice place to go near Sainsburys.. but I usually end up going to Sanisburys and buying a cheese and onion roll. Dawson's chippy is nice as well.
- Drive straight out of the town to Linderick Lodge at Carlton.
- The new Monsoon restaurant in Ryton Street does a great scoff, with some totally unusual dishes plus the well known, but done well. They have an eat-one eat-one-free voucher on their website so you can by a meal for two for about a £tenner. www.go2monsoon.co.uk.
- Pizza: Florentino's
Indian: Monsoon
Chippy: Jimmy's
Chinese: Fung Wo
The Lion Hotel is about the poshest place in Worksop, avoid Ashley and Lockkeeper. The white lion do cheap meals. For a decent meal you have to travel to Dinnington (Venus, Jade Garden), Carlton (Lindrick Lodge), Cuckney (Goffs), Bawtry (China Rose) or Creswell (That Italian)
- The Indian by Pizza hut does a good onion barjee when you're drunk
- MACDONALDS ON THE BYPASS
- Well we've got a Burger King, Little Chef, McDonalds, Cafe Delight! i'd definately recommend the last one! it's value for money and nice food! say hi to Frankie for me!! (owner)
- Topkapi - go in, order a spicy garlic bread, hand over your £2.20, eat. Realise that it is the best and cheapest thing you can buy from any takeaway on this planet!
- east gate fish and chips and the greek boy who works in there on wednesdays and friday afternoons and neve ever ever speaks. BO BO BO BO BO BO!!!!!!!!
- Wot more can Worksop ask 4....Its got '2' Mcdonalds!! yey!!
- mcds! Speedy pepper - cz i work there!
- That 114 at the top of town is an utter embarrassment. The food was so foul I took it home for the dog, who turned his nose up at it. Got served by a surly pig, who looked like the cleaner... should I have shown surprise when she reappeared ten mintues later with a bucket and mop? Nothing like Job sharing.... or is it multi-tasking?
- Best tasting pizza is pepe's, best value florentino's. Travel to Ma hubbards, edwinstowe for value for money hearty grub.
- Florentino's Pizzas - Get a Garlic Bread Supreme Down Ya Afta a Night Out (not in Worksop)
- TOPKAPI has to be the best takeaway this side of nottinghamshire! Great food selection, friendly staff, great music, and great atmosphere. I'd rather spend a night in topkapi than the avenue!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- YOU WANT GOOD COD AND CHIPS? TRY "THE HILL" ON RADFORD STREET IN MANTON, BEST FISH IN BRITAIN. CHEEPEST CHIPPY IN WORKSOP - FISHCAKE AND CHIPS £1.15 AND THE COD IS REAL COD NOT THAT WHITING SHIT THEY SELL AT MANTON FISHBAR!
- freeze fried chips, spit filled chicken, and moldy pop, need i say more?
- Id rather eat my own vomit off the hallowed cement of Bridge Street than eat anything produced in worksop.
- Doesn't matter where you go in Worksop - everything is served with chips (not french fries)and seasonal vegetables (which are always peas and carrots)
- If you are stuck out Harworth way try the lazy days diner on the main drag the home made meat pie is the dogs bollocks ... its worth the journey even if you arnt stuck out there
- Topkapi pizza shop is the best and their delivery service is second to none.
Everest Tandorri serves wonderful home-delivered food in an instant.. their delivery is the quickest !
- If you want a really tasty and delicious take out, then you must try Kilton House Chinese, i am a regular there, and the food is always spot on. Not bad prices too.
- Has anyone tried the food at Kilton House Chinese Takeaway, it is so delicious. It has got to be the best chinese in worksop by a long shot. And the staff are really helpful too.
- KILTON HOUSE CHINESE TAKEAWAY. The best reason to visit Kilton. Must recommend kungpo chicken and special fried rice. If u havent eaten here yet, u must try it soon. It is fantastic. Staff very friendly and helpful. If you dont know where it is, it is down the road from the hospital. just b4 the bridge.
- Black Lion at Firbeck is good, but you need to drive which curtails the boozing. Mind, its worth it because the food is top class and great value. Only downside is that the staff keep hanging around, espcially if you're eating slow and they're busy. Its made perfectly clear that its about time you cleared off. Shame really as it marrs an excellent night.
- florentinos , the best pizzas in the world
- That Clumber Hotel (used to be The Normanton) has gone right down the drain. On a sunday had to wait nearly two hours for a carvery (they ran out; I would have cleared off soemwhere else, but they'd already taken my money and refused to give it back. Still I cleaned them out of crisps and nuts (all there was to eat) in the interim), and when the carvery arrived it was quite nice. Later a gourep of bikers came in and had a row which livened things up. All in all a waste of time though. Still, only the snooker on TV on a Sunday so you may as well get bored in a different environment as opposed to your home. Management refused to talk to me, or acknowledge letter of complaint. They said 'no-one's ever complained before'. Well that's either because they starved to death, or liek me couldn't get through. Living off your reputation mate.
- Would you believe we have a chineese take-away called FOO KEE. Imagine ringing the number of the menu without looking the name first and having that blasted in your ear.
- The Clumber Hotel (used to be the Normanton) is dreaful on a Sunday. Carvery is always either cold, or just run out (thre quarter of an hour's wait), service is grim, place is packed with families and thier screaming kids. All trhis was topped one afternoon when about 30 bikers came in and nigh on wrecked the place. Uuterly useless, poor food, and the manager won't take your calls if you ring to complain. Worst place I've ever been. When it was the Normanton at least it had class. Lady Manvers used to pop in every day for half a roast duck. She wouldn't get served now.
- the chippie near the market's alright. cypriana's a bit crap. the best is jimmy's by the hospital. macdonalds. twice. chicken thing. some chinese. good pub meals at the White Lion.
- The Blue Bell Retaurant used to be brilliant - great range of food, fish, beef, and good cooking too, plus interesting presentation and imaginatiev wine list. But that was a whiel ago - now its just 'good'. ordinary stuff like 'Beef Wellingtons' 'Salmaon en croute' and so on. Sad, but nice try big fella that runs it....
- Mc Donalds, Mc Donalds, Mc ..... You get the point. See yellow pages!
- Goffs restaurant outside Worksop (Cuckney to be precise) is bang on, bu talk to your bank manager first - think in terms of £60 a head with wine. Dunno how it survives in such shitty area.
- Lindrick Lodge, just outside Worksop is an excellent spot, good food albeit a tad pricey. Best kept secret in the region.
- Jimmys chippy on Prospect.
- CALTON CHIPPY
- YOU EAT IT
- Topkapi does a crap kebab, but if u r pissed it tastes fabulous.
Goto chico's pizza on newcastle avenue and wind up the bird behind the counter.
- the big mac shop is the place to be
- go to the cypriana i hear they slaver in your chips! "special curry for a special boy!" bistro in collage has "special" entertainment!
- The Wing-On is great for Chinese, lots of my friends have worked at the Lion Hotel, which is actually good (surprising as they employed my friends), plenty of good Indians. Many quite standard pizza deliveries.
- That new take away indian is pretty cool. Stay away from mcdonalds italien chicken burgers.
- We have a Macdonalds to a U.S.A chicken bar and loads of bakeries and kebab shops
- Cooplands has brilliant gingerbread men and is great generally.
- McDonalds in the town centre.Drive through next to Sainsburys on the By-Pass.
- Dawson's Fish'n'Chip shop on Gateford Road.
- I lived in worksop for about 3 months this year and while I was there I was introduced to the lovely tasty delight of battered Mars bars. Amazing. They are deep fried hard to imagine but here in Australia I got a strange look asking for a battered Mars bar. The fish and chip shop was one block back from Sandy Lane; give then my regards.
